Um, a lot. Something like 1/3 of Catholics in the U.S. are Latino. |
| Always so concerned with the black population. What about Latinos? And Asians? |
With tens of millions streaming across the border, that 13% ought to shrinking. Don’t you think? |
Not all. But the great majority are. |

The population of Gonzaga represents the population of Gonzaga, nothing more. It's not representative of the Catholic population as a whole, and it's certainly not representative of the population of D.C.There's nothing wrong with that, per se.
It may not align with your priorities or values. If that's the case, vote with your application and apply elsewhere. As people have pointes out, there are other Catholic schools (eg. SJC, Carroll, DeMatha , etc.) that serve more diverse populations. If you value what those schools offer, go for it. If you value what Gonzaga offers instead, go for that. Agree that not everything needs to be about race, but would also encourage the Gonzaga defenders to avoid countering posts like these with clearly racist and ignorant remarks. You can lift up your truth without putting down others. |
And you know them personally in the DC area? |
