| I can't believe Gonzaga is only 9% black students. How can that even be possible in today's world? |
| Cite? |
| That’s what it is. And the Black kids that go there are football and basketball players. |
| So the poster who said it is mostly white country club kids was correct? |
| That is why the parents at Gonzaga always put down SJC. They would never send their kid to a diverse school. |
| Gonzaga is a Catholic school. There aren't a lot of black Catholics in the DC area. |
|
Who knows where the 9% number comes from.
It does not include mixed race. And it is a Catholic school that serves the Catholic community. |
Well, OP? Source? |
|
When schools say they have a large minority presence, I always wonder what that includes.
I suspect they include everyone but whites in the minority group (Blacks, mixed race, Latin Americans, Asians, Pacific Islanders, etc., etc.) |
There is a catholic high school right up the street from GZ that serves nearly 100% black students |
| Sounds fine. What's wrong with 9%? |
Are they all Catholic? |
Just google it |
I don't have any, I just made a WAG and instead of saying 10%, I said 9% to make it more believable. How am I doing? |
The percentage of Catholic students at Gonzaga is significantly higher than at SJC. Not saying it’s a good thing to be less diverse, but when admission is very competitive and Catholic applicants get priority, you are going to end up with a higher percentage of Catholic white kids. |
