What is the Black population in DC?

The better question is the DMV area, since Gonzaga students come from as far west as Loudon county and as far east as Annapolis. My guess is that the Black population in the DMV tracks the Gonzaga percentage pretty closely.

They are more worried about keeping their other statistics up. Not hard to realize

How many non-white Catholics do you know?

Quite a few. Southern Maryland was a Catholic haven, with slaves.

My bet is on local demographics or an attempt to keep their other ratings hi - which makes sense.

I suspect they include everyone but whites in the minority group (Blacks, mixed race, Latin Americans, Asians, Pacific Islanders, etc., etc.)

Yes - this is common for private schools and for colleges/universities too.

Um, a lot. Something like 1/3 of Catholics in the U.S. are Latino.

And you know them personally in the DC area?

I'm Latino and Catholic and live in D.C.

1/3 of the Catholics that you personally know in the DC area?

Yes.

And the % of Catholics that are black in the US is about 4%, so 9% is amazing!!

Looking at the top Catholic universities of Notre Dame and Boston College, their common data set indicates that backs represent less than 5% of their undergraduate enrollment. This is not unusual for top schools that are Catholic. Gonzaga's stats are stellar by comparison.

The majority of students come from Catholic K8 schools. They have committed to a Catholic education.

You should encourage more from your school to apply.
If they don't apply they can't attend.

And you are clearly black. No one cares, we cannot force racial equality, just please let the younger generations handle this, they already do a better job than we ever did, jfc.

DP. Weak response. Working for progress isn’t forcing anything. How will the younger generations continue the work if we don’t lead by example? Letting younger generations handle it means doing nothing now and leaving the next generation without a plan, but you already knew that.

DP. The example you’re leading by is being obsessed with race just like racists are. Greta job.

What is your example? Ignoring the problem?
