And the % of Catholics that are black in the US is about 4%, so 9% is amazing!!

9% tracks with colleges as well.

It is 14% at Gonzaga, not 9%

Source? USNWR and Niche both say 9.5%. I don’t necessarily trust either source to be up to date and accurate, but I couldn’t find anything on Gonzaga’s website, either.

I think we need to ask how many AAs are actually applying to schools like Gonzaga and Visi. Often, people self select and don't apply because a school seems overwhelmingly white. It's not that they didn't get in, they don't apply because it's not diverse enough.

You are clearly white.

And you are clearly black. No one cares, we cannot force racial equality, just please let the younger generations handle this, they already do a better job than we ever did, jfc.

DP. Weak response. Working for progress isn’t forcing anything. How will the younger generations continue the work if we don’t lead by example? Letting younger generations handle it means doing nothing now and leaving the next generation without a plan, but you already knew that.

DP. The example you’re leading by is being obsessed with race just like racists are. Greta job.

What is your example? Ignoring the problem?

Is there a problem?

You aren't too bright.
Gonzaga doesn't serve the entire USA

I can believe it.

Most WCAC schools are PWC.

Gonzaga is a private school. It admits who they want to admit. To gain admission you have to be able to do the work. The majority of black kids applying to Gonzaga are coming from public schools, many from DCPS which is awful. Maybe just maybe that has something to do with admissions for blacks but my guess is they bend over backwards to admit as many black kids as they can whom they think can succeed.

I think it’s 9, not 9 pct.

How many Catholic blacks in the DMV area want to send their kid to Gonzaga? I assure you any that apply and have the grades are being admitted.

The data OP used in flawed. The Gonzaga most recent school profile shows 14% Blacks. Let's put this thread to rest. I am asking Jeff to lock.
