critique my breakfast

You need more fiber.

Nix the salad, replace it with a bowl of gummy bears. Far more nutritious.

Yeah…I wasn’t sure if this is a joke. If you are weighing every single thing you eat on a food scale, that’s weird at best, but likely disordered.

This is OP, I do not do this every day. I am doing it these days to see what I am eating and what my macros are on a regular day...after I have a sense of what my plates look like I don't do this anymore.

But you really don't need to see this level of detail. To the ounce? Your body isn't a cake that needs specific measurements of ingredients so it doesn't flop over. It sounds like you are trying to get the required nutrients in as little calories as possible and are being so specific because eating at the calorie level you want will cause one to miss out on certain nutrients.

- .81 baby kale
- .5 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 20 g microgreens
- 6.17 oz micro greens
- 2.5 table spoons chia seeds
- fiber supplement
- reveratrol supplement

I ate a side of 4.8 oz garbanzo beans

Looking good. Good protein, fiber, vit C and A plus you are eating a rainbow of colors filled with valuable phytonutrients.

Thanks, I forgot that I added a whole granny smith apple as well.

I feel full and great, actually. I am already at 35 grams of fiber for the day.

Only 42 grams protein though, so hopefully increase that during dinner.

A whole apple! One whole one? All this mention of grams, you treat food like it is a vitamin supplement.

What are you folks doing? Eating eggs by the tablespoon, 60% of an avocado (why not just half), a mountain of kale, chia seeds stirred into milk? What? I thought the post was a joke.

I had a 5.3 oz 2% plain greek yogurt, 1/4 cup of Grape Nuts, and a "shit ton" of blackberries and blueberries. 3 cups of black coffee. It took 20 seconds to throw together.

I eat at least half a cup of beans a day. That’s 5-9 grams depending on the bean. Raspberries have 8 grams per cup. Oats are good sources of fiber. I also like the carb saver tortillas for a quick fiber hit - there like 12 grams of fiber in them. Sweet potatoes, cruciferous veggies, chia seeds, there’s lots of ways to get to 25g.

Ok. You knew the exact measurements of all though, so why are you shitting on someone else for the same?

What’s better? Chia or Flax seeds?

Ok how else is someone supposed to know nutrition content? Or how much food is how many calories? This is basic food education!

What is .81 of a kale?!

How is a micro green different from a microgreen? One is metric and one is imperial?

I had kale and custard for dinner.

Is OP a ChatGPT?

OP here. This morning I had a yogurt bowl:

- 4.2 oz raspberries
- 5.3 oz Skyr yogurt berry flavored
- 2.5 tablespoons chia seeds
- .8 tablespoon crunchy almond butter

a small cup of drip coffee with a splash of almond milk

19 grams of fiber already but only 23 grams of protein!

+1. This is how you know this place gives terrible advice on diet. OP likely has a food scale and has reported how much she put on the scale. How much of any given you food you eat matters. Now she is getting criticized for being disordered. As though it’s better to just come on here with the usual “why am I am not losing weight? I eat healthy!”

You are so right! It’s much better to eat and not know much how much you are eating.

I have a whole egg scrambled with broccoli/onion/cheese almost every day for breakfast. Then a coffee with 3 sugars and half and half. I’m happy with it lol. Keeps me full til lunchtime.

OP what is your current weight? You sound like someone who eats healthy and are probably not even overweight.

Nice. Work on phytonutrients and vitamin A, K, C etc. intake at lunch and dinner. A salad + apple and a source of protein and a handful of nuts at lunch, followed by a lean protein, veggies, and fruit for dessert will get you there. Now you’re getting an idea of how to get enough fiber, macros, and a rainbow diet. It’s hard!
