- 1 whole egg
- 9 tablespoons of egg whites - 1.9 oz sourdough bread - .6 avocado - .56 baby kale - half cup of leftover whole milk latte How did I do nutrition-wise? |
Need way more fiber. Sneak in something like flax or chia seeds somewhere into your mornings everyday.
Most Americans get nowhere near the amount of required fiber per day. |
Her breakfast isn’t too far off from mine but I do add 1/2 cup of beans each day. |
I agree with PP's about your breakfast looking great but perhaps adding in more veggies/fiber:
- Add tomatoes and onions to make a veggie scramble. - Add hummus onto your bread. - Sprinkle pumpkin or sunflower seeds on top. - Add a little sauerkraut, pickled beets, or pickled onions to your eggs. Thank you! I think I'll steal your idea for lunch ![]() |
Why do you eat egg whites instead of eggs? |
What's a .56 baby kale? How big is that baby? |
Not instead, in addition! Afraid of the cholesterol boogeyman. |
I had a bowl of salad and an ice cream sandwich.
You need more fiber. |
I’d add in a glass on unsweetened almond milk with two tablespoons of via seeds mixed in. That’ll give you 10 grams of fiber |
Thanks for the feedback guys!
I have high cholesterol hence the egg whites. I aim to eat at least 25 g of fiber daily...you are correct that I am not adding much fiber to my breakfast today. I will add fiber to my lunch and dinner. ![]() |
What do most people eat to get all this fiber? Beans? |
Add berries |
Why do you choose sourdough toast over whole wheat toast? |
You at probably still drastically short. You are literally proving why Americans get nowhere near enough fiber, because they're so far off the mark for the daily recommended amounts in terms of education. Just for fiber alone a woman needs: 1/2c beans 1/2 an entire avocado 1/2c oats 2 table chia 1 apple At a minimum. |
Beans Raspberries and black berries Nuts Oats Chia and flax Apples and pears Psyllium husk supplement Brown rice Lentils |
