Lmfao considering I said “I don’t have a dog in this” since I don’t have a child playing in either.

You selectively chose a few states. Guess what, lots of West coast coaches were at the CA GA showcase. Guess what else, each of these leagues schedules regional showcases to make it easier for college coaches to make it showcases that are more convenient to them.

And if you are a mid-Atlantic player who wants to play in the mid-Atlantic, you really don’t need to go to TN or CA to get recruited.

Give it a rest. Both leagues provide good opportunities for players to play at a higher level and to boost their likelihood of being recruited.

I like your confidence. You state your opinion like it's fact; which it's not.

But you're an outside observer....so you know.

I assure you that the GA did not sechede a west coast showcase for the benefit of east coast schools which is where 99 percent of east coast kids will be attending.

I chooses those locations because they are border states where the majority of the kids from this area will attend college. I can do more stats if you like.

Please do.

And one of the larger points of the poster is that kids tend to stay within a 4-6 hour drive of home for their college choice.

The number of “local” colleges attending matters when traveling across the country. 95% of the east coast players will not attend a west coast college. That is the point Mr No Dog in the Fight.

Instead of focusing on East Coast schools (which will be more represented in TN) or West Coast schools (which will be more represented in CA), how about mid-country school? TX? NM? KS? CO? Where are they willing to travel?

Why does the location matter? Can't the team simply fly to CA and play because it's fun.

Nashville TN.

Now I have a question for you - tell me the percent of VA kids playing at TX, NM, KS, CO schools - a reckon less than 5 percent - probably in the 1 percent range

Maybe that's because VA kids don't have a lot of opportunities to play in front of coaches from those schools

Or, just maybe, kids don’t generally go to college that far away.

You people are ridiculous. If a player is good enough to get recruited by these schools, it won't matter if they play in ECNL or GA. Both will have plenty of opportunities to be seen.

Well - let me know how many GA attend those west coast schools in the future - I know the answer

I challenge anyone to post a roster with more than 2 local kids west of the Mississippi.

Talk about confidence. Yours seems very misplaced. 😂😂😂

Both GA and ECNL offer strong competition and the opportunity to play at showcases around the country in front of college coaches.

That is the case though, because ECNL and Girls DA didn’t provide enough cross country trips. Now, thanks to GA, in 4 years half of UC Riverside’s roster will be FCV players.
