That is the case though, because ECNL and Girls DA didn’t provide enough cross country trips. Now, thanks to GA, in 4 years half of UC Riverside’s roster will be FCV players.

Give it a rest. Both leagues provide good opportunities for players to play at a higher level and to boost their likelihood of being recruited.

I assure you that the GA did not sechede a west coast showcase for the benefit of east coast schools which is where 99 percent of east coast kids will be attending.

I chooses those locations because they are border states where the majority of the kids from this area will attend college. I can do more stats if you like.

Parents should focus more on helping their children play for a good coach that will challenge them and help them become better players and play as many games against meaningful competition. No league has a monopoly on this.

The reliability of the Hellcat is not the point. The point is that both while the Charger and Hellcat look much the same they are very different cars performance wise.

As far as quality/reliability goes ECNL is obviously quite reliable.

Be real - GA has maybe 5-6 good clubs - FCV, Tophat, SC Wave, and whatever two or three of your choice.

This isn't a knock on FCV. They obviously have good teams and would perform well in ECNL - but to insist the league is on par is ridiculous.

Who cares about the league? The whole think is about the player. If the player has talent and recruits the right schools (yes, the player has to recruit the school, not the other way around), they will find their place. If they don't have the talent the league and the team, etc. does not matter. I watched ECNL-RL boys teams from VA outplay ECNL (real ECNL, not ECN-RL) boys teams from NC this past weekend down at CASL. There is plenty of talent not in GA or ECNL out there and if they are taught how to recruit the school that is at the right level for them they will find a place and be able to make an impact there. The league does not really matter at all.
