Girls Academy Showcase

The other question is whether or not the league has legs and my guess is that it does not. It is nothing more than a national version of CCL.

Truth

There are two things true in this thread. 1. ECNL is the better league 2. The team a kid plays on matters a lot less than the kids talent.

Take away the top three kids on any ECNL team and have them play the teams at in the national league / GA etc.. and you would have more or less a push. These games would be comprised of the kids filling out rosters at lower D1 and D3 schools. Top kids can go anywhere. A majority of them play in ECNL. Parents equating their kid who splits playing time on an ECNL roster with the top kids on said team in terms of where they will end up in college are delusional. Similarly, those people claiming ECNL = GA and are similarly delusional.

Another domination by FCV across all age groups. It's clear that FCV would dominate ECNL if let in.

FCV 09 - 1-1-1
FCV 08 - 1-2
FCV 07 - 1-1-1
FCV 06 - 3-0
FCV 05 - 2-1
FCV 04 - 0-1-2

FCV - 8-6-4

6 age groups and only two left California with a winning record.

Look - in fairness -'I'm sure they played the better GA teams. The fact that they don't dominate the GA shows there are some good teams left - However, it also shows that FCV would be an average ECNL club - which if you know anything about history - they were average.

Don't get me wrong - average is good when competeting against good competition - because it shows that they are not really average when compared against those outside of ECNL.

However -

Why does the club or team record matter? The point of these events is to give players exposure. College coaches were there to see specific players and don't care who wins the games. Why do you care so much who wins?

04's are already committed to colleges. Many do not want to travel to CA for these games
