Lmfao considering I said “I don’t have a dog in this” since I don’t have a child playing in either.

You selectively chose a few states. Guess what, lots of West coast coaches were at the CA GA showcase.  Guess what else, each of these leagues schedules regional showcases to make it easier for college coaches to make it showcases that are more convenient to them.

And if you are a mid-Atlantic player who wants to play in the mid-Atlantic, you really don’t need to go to TN or CA to get recruited.

Give it a rest. Both leagues provide good opportunities for players to play at a higher level and to boost their likelihood of being recruited.  [/quote]

And one of the larger points of the poster is that kids tend to stay within a 4-6 hour drive of home for their college choice.

The number of “local” colleges attending matters when traveling across the country. 95% of the east coast players will not attend a west coast college. That is the point Mr No Dog in the Fight. [/quote]
