Correct me if I'm wrong. What else would drive adults to spew hate towards kids anonymously. Just own it!

No one is directing vitriol at Bullis Athletes.

Far from it- they are still legally minors and are due " In loco parentis" by Bullis, which is one of the concerns:

talented Athletes recruited to a MD Private and living with Board Members is what has been posted here. Not sure if that is true. I just read it. But, to be placed -as a minor- away from your parents home into the home of a Board Member of a Private School who then benefit's from your Athletic performance raises MANY ethical if not legal issues:

1) were these minors brought across state lines ?
2) were background checks performed on the Board members whose homes they were placed in after these minor students left their parents home
3) were these minors required to meet the educational requirements for their HS Diploma AND who is Auditing this ? Are teachers of these Student/ Athletes being deposed
4) what are the NAIS and MD accreditation boards doing as far as due dill

What are your thoughts on participation trophies?

Why did Bullis seek a 38 million dollar bond from the county in 2015? What was it used for?

Bullis Board, we know you are reading. For once, just do the right thing, get an outside independent audit and governance review, and restore some faith in your teachers, staff, and families.

It's all laid out in the bond approval which is linked from the article: http://montgomerycountymd.granicus.com/MetaViewer.php?view_id=6&clip_id=10120&meta_id=87607

Can you people just ley it go? There are 850 some families who have their children attending Bullis. They know what's happened and happening, and apparently don't care. So why do you?

The bond document said it was for funding the Discovery Center building and a turf field. The justification was the anticipated increase in enrollment that would include an anticipated 36 additional teachers, 14 of which would reside in Montgomery County. In 2015, when this bond document was created there were 650 students of which 115 lived in VA and DC.

+1. This thread is so tiring. Let it go. Bullis seems like a great school and their enrollment is full so seems like a lot of satisfied families.

What makes it seem like a great school to you? The bad reputation it can't shake (why would that be?), the corruption of the Head and the Trustees, the fact that it only reached enrollment because it promised to to be in person, the scandals that made the news regarding the lacrosse and football coaches, the racist incident that also made the press, and on and on. Yes, seems like a great school.
