Bullis HOS “exit was messier than it appeared” according to the Post

Don't forget $140 K for Natasha's kids to attend a different private school! That is some top-level grift.

One of our children was a student at Bullis for one year during the period referenced in the article. We had just moved to the area, and our older kids were at another independent school. The culture at Bullis was all about appearances and ostentation. The backbiting and drama among parent cliques made us cringe (and we were coming from LA). Boarman was obviously motivated more by self-interest than educational vision or concern for the students. We were so glad to get out of there.

Including that big building with HIS OWN name on it - who does that?

It makes you wonder if the board will rename the discovery center building on campus.

I didn’t realize he was married either, how does his wife allow for him to go on a week long trip to Italy with the school attorney?

The Board always maintained that a major donor insisted that the building would be named after Boarman. The corruption is deep.

And Board Chair leads the company that did the construction? This school is run like a ship of fools.

Parents, why are you not wondering where your money has been going? Well, I guess now you know.

Boarman has done a tone more harm than good.

This is old news for Bullis people.

Like the most recent example at Field and at others before then, the fissure will take time to heal and the school’s reputation will be damaged for a period but it too will rally over time. Even in a post pandemic world there will continue to be much demand for what they offer.....

Hopefully a new HOS will bring positive change and paying to get that person out may be worth every penny.

This is crazy! I didn’t know he was at Bullis. He’d been at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt forever prior to 2000, and his name is on Roosevelt’s auditorium. Two of my kids graduated from ERHS. Wonder if this will make an impact there.

I don't care how many posts in this thread I read, my jaw still drops every time. How incredibly corrupt and shameful this whole sordid tale is.

I mean, Beauvoir employed a pedophile who became #1 on the FBI's Most Wanted list and it hasn't hurt them any.

She wasn't the first wife in this situation...won't be the last.
