Bullis HOS “exit was messier than it appeared” according to the Post

Yeah because what college is going to trust their transcripts of a athlete from Bullis given the obvious red flags raised by the court record show in deposition that Bullis in house Atty who was also running HR and the " student with learning needs department"

It seems it is in Bullis' best interest to conduct a full sweep of current board and have an outside audit, then a re-accreditation review.

Good to know. Unfortunately adults on dcum asking financial questions about your school are in your head.

Nope. That is what it is.

The board should be fired as well given they allowed all this.

I'd like to read a deep-dive into that 2015 county bond they got while they claimed donors put up all the money needed for that Discovery Center.

Dr. Boarman paid Natasha’s travel and living expenses with Bullis funds, they took trips together with Bullis school funds, they went to Italy, Florida, he even paid her 3 kids out of state private school tuition with Bullis funds. He bought a Mercedes and a Jaguar with Bullis funds. He spent $500,000 on an addition to his home with Bullis funds. He bought a house for Natasha’s and her children to live in. Natasha’s husband was suing Dr. Boarman for destroying his marriage and he was subpoenaed to turn over all of the financial records showing all the tax free money he had used to support his relationship with Natasha. Look it up.

While unusual, it’s not that scandal that it seems. The county helped issue the bonds in order to facilitate Bullis getting access to lower borrowing costs. However, the county is not obligated to replay. Only Bullis is.
”Conduit bonds" are unlike other municipal bonds insofar as they are not backed by the taxing authority of the jurisdiction but rather are backed by the project itself.2 The role of the local government in such cases is indirect-while the borrower benefits from the government action, there is not a corresponding liability on the part of the local government.”

The board is still chaired by the same person who is also president of a construction company. Lots of board members remain.

And Bullis is looking to build again.

Because their kids got rejected from Prep, Landon, Gonzaga.

Not true

I was hearing bits and pieces of this for years

Any dipsh*t who has some worthless Ed.D. and runs around demanding to be called a doctor is a low watt shadeball. That should have been the first and foremost character red flag.

Oh bull. This huckster was claiming he raised all this money, then turned around and borrowed it.

Yes. The lies are a scandal. The county’s involvement in the bond issuance is not.

The Board would have know about the schools finances so perhaps questions should be asked of them.

Disagree, as a parent of a HS student (formerly in MCPS), I find the new HOS to be a breath of fresh air. Open and transparent and frequent communication, talks about improving academics (and has hired more teachers/shrunk class size), has hired more counselors, etc., while.maintaining an excellent arts and athletic program.

The old guy has been gone for 1.5 years, Bullis is great environment and on the upswing in reputation.
