Yes, fucked up. If the gun lovers would just allow some moderate restrictions to prevent shitbird dumbasses like this from getting guns, then we'd all have fewer senseless deaths and less hatred of guns. The problem is that the NRA and all the politicians they've bought will resist any and all reasonable regulation on a theory of slippery slope. If they won't allow reasonable steps to lessen senseless gun deaths, then the rest of us need to come together to solve the problem with more strict regulation. They won't act like responsible adults, so maybe they're not allowed to sell their dangerous products anymore.

Hypocrites who go rabid about the minuscule chance of being killed by a Muslim refugee in an act of terrorism while ignoring the thousands of Americans who die yearly due to guns wielded by Americans because they think their interpretation of the 2nd amendment is more important that children's lives.

Supposedly the father in this story Kansas Lavarnia has a criminal record and he is "forbidden" from owning a gun legally. Not much good that does if a law isn't enforced.

Sounds like we need a government database that accurately tracks the offender status and residence location of all gun owners, so we can prevent people with criminal records from getting access to guns. Will the NRA allow a database that tracks gun owner locations?

It's b/c of the NRA lobby that we don't have this already. Seriously, even after Newtown, Congress was too wedded to the money instead of doing the right thing.
