You know how I know you have never bothered to even speak with a single college admissions officer on this topic? Or never read any books on the subject, like "The Shape of The River"? |
DP: The entire problem with people in this analysis is this phrase: "who should be there based on academic merit (and yes, extracurriculars too)." This is a figment of your imagination. You dont' get to decide this. This is not the entirety of any school's actual admissions standard. It never has been. |
They bring something to the table that you cannot bring, so among the many qualification considered, they have qualifications you lack. |

not sure that you can tell how much of an a$$hole a person is by a few interviews. I've worked with all kinds of a$$holes. They put on a good show in the interviews, but then once they get comfortable in a position, they turn into a raging a$$wipe. |
Why did you move the goalposts from diversity to likability? Why don't you read the posts you are responding to and do a better job at not mis-representing them? |

I would like to see more Asians in NBA and NFL.
How do we achive that. Same thing applies to academic institutions. |

And sadly, I am a DEM sick of this leftist takeover. Trying hard to understand and not to swing GOP Uuugh. |
