I tend to agree, but were they afraid of provoking him into more violence? Did they feel this was more of a hostage-type situation? |
It's not going to happen because of money not because of perception regarding whether it could be considered authoritarian. Do you really think there is no AI software working on the back end of those red light cameras to identify license plates, whether you came to a full stop when turning on red, etc.? |

Yes, it's a cost issue. MCPS spends millions every year on lawyers to fend off lawsuits, and millions on PR for central admin stuff, but they're too poor for cameras. |
Yup. Everyone made it on time but her. But she should not have needed to make it on time. She should have been there already. It should have been her first instinct to get to the school as soon as possible. He’ll, even the DA was there immediately. |
She has a kid in PG virtual learning, and was working from home in PG county. I suppose she had to scramble for childcare?

He wasn't unconscious. |

There’s no evidence, right, that they held up releasing the kids bc McKnight was late? Especially since the press conference was off site?
That said why they announced it would be at 445 in freezing temps and and then waited an hour + for her (and really everyone who spoke) to provide very little new information is beyond me. |
Her family is also recovering from Covid. |
There are cameras everywhere and they work. |
It is a political issue. Which public school in the US has AI-powered cameras monitoring students? |
Well, first of all, no one heard the gun shot. |
They don't need ai power to pull up footage. Administration has access to the cameras, know which are located where and how to review footage. It is done every single day. |
Correct. This whole thread is nuts. |
The McGruder kids were so lucky that she found childcare so quickly. How about just quit the photo op? |
