Which is why school policies forbidding staff from telling parents about a child’s going by a different gender at school are especially pernicious.

Have you been following the restrictions on this type of care in places like the UK and Finland due to scientific research on its effects? The US is an outlier for gender dysphoria treatment.

They lost the election because people don't like this - and while too scared to voice it for fear of career damage and society cancelling - they were not scared to vote [or not vote or vote third party] accordingly and that's a big reason Trump won.

Ok. Good point. I understand that. But I am begging for people to understand as well, and I’ll leave it at this, is to see the humanity in people who are transgender. Children included. All the commentary on here leaves out that these are human beings, and there is going to be real harm that is going to come to them. Equating them to foxes is inhumane and cruel. And when you see that, it is very hard to not dig in and beg for people to see that these are human beings, not some talking point for political gain.

Gender dysphoria is a DSM-5 diagnosis.
There are psychological implications of children changing their genders. It shouldn’t be “taught” or normalized in school as some flippant choice. Which is exactly what is happening

I don’t know that many people, but I know multiple people with trans kids.

I go to sign my kid up for a pre-college event, and I’m offered 13 genders to choose from for him on the form. I wish I were exaggerating.

Go to the college and post college level where money is involved and get back to us.
