This article has no evidence to back up its assertion beyond the fact that down ballot, people voted for Dem in some areas. And its claim that Trump didn’t match his 2020 is false. He is up to 76 million and counting.

I’m concerned about the actual people now, considering the level of vitriol. Just because you say “he won, the movement is over”—it isn’t going to make them go back to their original pronouns and put on business suits and pretty dresses. My teen DD has several friends who don’t conform to gender norms and I’m concerned that people will now feel emboldened to hassle them, or worse, when they’re out and about. These are seriously some of the kindest, most harmless humans I can imagine.

These teens are being done no favors by adults and medical professionals lying to them that they can change their sex.

I agree with some of this but men can be women if they choose and vice versa. That's their personal choice and none of your business.

Also, what's with the pronoun concern? That's a fading trend and why should you care if someone prefers she or he? Address people however you feel is appropriate and it's they can choose if or when to respond.

You're lumping in invalid concerns about personal choices people make that don't infringe on the rights of others with valid concerns about situations where the rights of many are comprised by the personal choices of few.

That you believe the safety and fairness of Title IX is simply an invalid concern is why Trump won. A personal choice that directly affects my rights as a woman is my business.

Yep, and that is for a doctor, child and their guardians to decide. Many treatments have side effects that parents need to weigh for a number of diseases and other health issues

We regulate all kinds of treatments - especially those for whom a minor can’t arguably consent. We have an entire FDA for regulation purposes. There a reason European countries have put a hold on these treatments. Lack of efficacy and side effects being the main ones.

They lost the election because people don't like this - and while too scared to voice it for fear of career damage and society cancelling - they were not scared to vote [or not vote or vote third party] accordingly and that's a big reason Trump won.

I agree with this. I’m wondering if the ‘new’ or the staunch democrats don’t realize how insane it has gotten in a few short years. No, I don’t want any boy or man who feels like a woman today, because they feel ‘gender fluid’ to walk into a girls bathroom, or locker room as they please, especially not in schools and colleges. And a host of other things. Before you are fully transitioned you have no place anywhere designated solely for girls, especially not a sports team.
“Gender affirming surgery for minors”. I can’t even believe this is what it has come to. It is impossible that such a large percentage of the population has gender issues. It honestly feels like it’s 10% or more of a school population in a progressive area. It should be less than half a percent. Everyone’s child is suddenly changing their gender when this is a time when it’s normal for kids to explore, how about just fostering true anti-bullying environment without adults jumping in and steering kids into changing their name and pronoun and offering hormones?

We truly have bigger, existential problems which are having a huge impact on a very large number of people, and the democrats, including those I voted for, are still not listening and learning. If you feel that you can’t speak openly to your own chosen political group without getting viscously attacked, something is severely wrong with that political group. Interestingly, this applies to both parties… just this time, it was the downfall for one.
