DP, but that’s exactly what we’re wondering. Has she made poor decisions, or does she not care about marriage or kids? There are plenty of attractive and successful thirty something women who never got married for various reasons. Some portion are by choice, and some portion of those are unmarried because they dated the wrong guys, stayed in dead end relationships for too long, or have issues that prevent them from attaining some personal goals they may have. Just because Taylor swift massively successful, it doesn’t mean her personal life may not be a mess. That’s what these worshippers of hers have wrong. She is a super successful person, but still a person who can have flaws.
hmmm the young woman who brilliant wrested back control over her intellectual property despite the obstacles surely seems like she has little sense of self or ability to achieve goals. you’re right, she just stupidly forgot to have a baby in her 20s!
meanwhile I guess you think Britney Spears made great reproductive choices?
No, but what’s your point? Britney has documented mental health struggles, so that feels like a cheap shot. Countless stable people in the entertainment industry have gotten married/partnered up and had children at reasonable ages. Here are some of the more intelligent or successful ones: Reese Witherspoon, Anne Hathaway, gwyneth Paltrow, Kate winslet, Adele, Kristen bell, Victoria Beckham, Madonna, Meryl Streep, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Katherine Heigl, Leslie Mann, beyonce. Just some dozens off the top of my head.
Almost none of them stay married regardless of how old they were when they married or had babies- so if you’re implying that taylor is waiting for the perfect person to have kids with, the odds are going to be stacked against her no matter who she ultimately settles down with.
I like don’t even know what you’re defending at this point. Very few people here are calling her a failure for not being married or having kids. But she doesn’t talk about her personal life, so we don’t know if she wants those things. You seem to be offended by the suggestion that someone as rich or famous as Taylor swift isn’t immune to wanting typical things in a more typical window. Quite frankly it sounds like you’re taking this personally.
So your theory is that Taylor Swift is an evil B getting her comeuppance because she didn’t settle down and instead dated multiple men, and now she’s old and dried up, and deserves all the agony and regret she is no doubt experiencing (while on her record-breaking and acclaimed world tour)? She wasted her fertility like so many stupid women do by chasing Chads and now she deserves what she gets.
No, but my point exactly is that you’re pushing this narrative and no one else is. Who said anything about her being a b or getting comeuppance? Seriously, go take a walk and calm down.
lol you are the one pushing the narrative that it is TOTALLY INEXPLICABLE why Taylor Swift doesn’t have a baby and how she couldn’t possibly be on birth control
Those particular posts weren’t me. There is a spectrum of crazy here, that person is on one side and you are on the other. In the middle you have people wishing her the best and hoping that, if she does want a a long term relationship and kids, she gets it because realistically, most people don’t plan to start those things in their late thirties or forties.
omfg. STOP. She is in her early 30s, rich as midas, gorgeous, and oh yeah, a superstar. where in the world do you get the picture she’s crying at her spinsterhood? she will always have a boyfriend (or husband) and can have a baby whenever/however she wants.
She’s in her mid thirties. Yes nobody is denying that she is very successful and talented. But there’s always a difference between a breakup at 24 and a breakup at 34. And you are off your rocker dying on a hill insisting otherwise.
Th relationship forum is full of old threads from women her age furious that they wasted years of their life and notably their fertility on a dead-end relationship. Only a handful of nutters on here pretend it’s no big deal.
Not me. I was wildly fertile and likely overbred- especially given the total dud their dad turned out to be.
Stop pretending babies are hard to make for most of us. I hate the fertility doomsday-ers. Oh no! No more than a pair of kids? Dear lord lady.

She’s 33 and will turn 34 this year during her tour. That’s no spring chicken when it comes to fertility. At the very least she’s unlikely to ever have more than a pair of children when or if she ever does get pregnant. And it’s sad to think about, but her baby boomer parents ain’t getting any younger. They could croak any day without seeing a grandchild.
Does she want kids?
doesn’t matter - she has a uterus, she must use it to procreate 🙄 at least half of the parents I meet in this area clearly started around 40, so assuming she even wants kids AND wants to carry them herself, she has plenty of time. Honestly, she’s a bad*ss at the top of her game, so people want to tear her down and “feel bad for her”. I feel bad for anyone who thinks their kids “owe” them grandkids at any point. You’ve got to be a joy as a parent.

I'm a different poster and Taylor is so rich she probably already has embryos ready to go. Some of you guys are completely underestimating how rich this woman is. I'm not even a Taylor Swift fan and I have no doubt that she will have kids and probably marry 1-2 times over the next 20 years. When you have the kind of money she has you can do exactly what you want. The only thing that's out of her control is romantic love. But she can pay to have some kids.

Why aren’t you crying for Joe? Oh yeah: sexism.
Breakups always suck, sure. But acting like this is a tragedy because she’ll be an old maid forever is just …
FFS. No one is saying she’ll be an old maid forever. But yes, at this point the best case scenario is that she’ll be a fairly older parent. IF someone wants kids, it’s inevitably sad that a six year relationship from ages 27-34 didn’t work out. Those are prime years for getting married and having kids, a notion that seems to offend you.
No one’s crying for Joe because sexist or not, it doesn’t work the same way for men. Sure, he’ll also be an older parent IF he wants kids, but it’s much more typical for a 38 year old man to be starting a family than a 38 year old woman. Yes, I know, Taylor is successful and rich and pretty! She can start a family at 38 too. She can start one at 45. But my point, which seems to be over your head, is that a breakup, particularly as a woman in your mid thirties, sucks if you want kids and haven’t had them yet.
So your overall point here is that Taylor Swift is “sad” because she is “wasting her fertility.”

She seems like she has pretty particular thoughts about how her relationships fit into her position of fame. I have no doubt that if she is interested in kids, she has very carefully thought through how she can do it in a way that would meet her vision of parenting. She also has famous friends with kids who she no doubt discusses this with. If she DOES want kids, I have no doubt she’s working that into an overall plan for her career where she can step back out of the limelight for some years, a place where kids can have the most normal childhood, etc.

hmmm the young woman who brilliant wrested back control over her intellectual property despite the obstacles surely seems like she has little sense of self or ability to achieve goals. you’re right, she just stupidly forgot to have a baby in her 20s!
meanwhile I guess you think Britney Spears made great reproductive choices?
No, my overall point is that IF she wants kids, yes, a long term relationship breakup at 34 is sad and makes things a bit more complicated. If she was 25, it would be sad but not complicated. I don’t know how to spell this out any clearer for you. Your point is a) that if she wants kids, its not complicated, because she’s rich and successful and pretty and therefore it doesn’t matter if she’s 40 if and when she puts the infrastructure in place to start a family and (this is the ludacris part you keep repeating) b) because she is successful and rich and pretty, you are adamant that she is “just fine” with her breakup and how everything is going. Because everything in Taylor’s life happens on her terms. You are like some rabid worshipper who thinks she’s some godly person. I think she is like any other 34 year old woman going through some things.

The horror! Poor, pitiful Taylor, wasting her time, traveling the world, performing for sold-out crowds, nothing of note over the past 6 years.
Listen, here is the part you keep missing. They ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE. My god.
Anonymous wrote:The concern trolling over this woman's fertility is so bizarre. Taylor Swift is not a walking uterus, nor is any other woman.
It’s not “trolling” over her fertility, unless someone is saying what a waste that she’s not having kids. What’s reasonable is saying “if she does want kids, it’s a shame that this relationship during her prime childbearing years did not work out, and now she, like anyone else in her position, will have to start over in their mid/thirties.” I think the people trolling here that her fertility is irrelevant to the conversation are crazy. It’s only irrelevant if you assume she does want kids, which would be a completely respectable decision.
Look at Jennifer Aniston. Another beautiful, successful, talented and awesome woman. She got screwed by Brad Pitt just as they were trying to start a family. Then she got caught up for years with John Mayer and Vince Vaughn. And then when she was finally in a relationship where her partner was open to kids, it didn’t happen for her or them. After the dust has settled, she has recently been open about the pain of that chapter and finally being able to put it behind her. There is nothing “trolling” about pointing out an obvious biological window to have children or to optimize one’s success with ivf. It would be trolling to reduce these woman’s entire worth to having children, which no one has done. There are woman whose only accomplishment is being a mother, women who’s only accomplishment is their career, and then there are women who do both- some crazy people here are like insisting it’s some binary thing.

She's at the top of her game professionally which won't last forever; perhaps she'd like to be a more present parent or lead a quieter lifestyle if and when she has a child.
