But it’s a huge and wild assumption that she even wants children. There are tons of people her age not having kids nowadays. In my own family, I am the only one out of four siblings who has children. And in my husbands his only sibling doesn’t want kids.
Anonymous wrote:LOL, anybody can get married and have kids. It's not that special, and it's not an accomplishment. You think Taylor Swift couldn't find a guy to marry or procreate with if that's what she wanted to do?
DP, but that’s exactly what we’re wondering. Has she made poor decisions, or does she not care about marriage or kids? There are plenty of attractive and successful thirty something women who never got married for various reasons. Some portion are by choice, and some portion of those are unmarried because they dated the wrong guys, stayed in dead end relationships for too long, or have issues that prevent them from attaining some personal goals they may have. Just because Taylor swift massively successful, it doesn’t mean her personal life may not be a mess. That’s what these worshippers of hers have wrong. She is a super successful person, but still a person who can have flaws.
hmmm the young woman who brilliant wrested back control over her intellectual property despite the obstacles surely seems like she has little sense of self or ability to achieve goals. you’re right, she just stupidly forgot to have a baby in her 20s!
meanwhile I guess you think Britney Spears made great reproductive choices?
No, but what’s your point? Britney has documented mental health struggles, so that feels like a cheap shot. Countless stable people in the entertainment industry have gotten married/partnered up and had children at reasonable ages. Here are some of the more intelligent or successful ones: Reese Witherspoon, Anne Hathaway, gwyneth Paltrow, Kate winslet, Adele, Kristen bell, Victoria Beckham, Madonna, Meryl Streep, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, Katherine Heigl, Leslie Mann, beyonce. Just some dozens off the top of my head.
Almost none of them stay married regardless of how old they were when they married or had babies- so if you’re implying that taylor is waiting for the perfect person to have kids with, the odds are going to be stacked against her no matter who she ultimately settles down with.
I like don’t even know what you’re defending at this point. Very few people here are calling her a failure for not being married or having kids. But she doesn’t talk about her personal life, so we don’t know if she wants those things. You seem to be offended by the suggestion that someone as rich or famous as Taylor swift isn’t immune to wanting typical things in a more typical window. Quite frankly it sounds like you’re taking this personally.
So your theory is that Taylor Swift is an evil B getting her comeuppance because she didn’t settle down and instead dated multiple men, and now she’s old and dried up, and deserves all the agony and regret she is no doubt experiencing (while on her record-breaking and acclaimed world tour)? She wasted her fertility like so many stupid women do by chasing Chads and now she deserves what she gets.
No, but my point exactly is that you’re pushing this narrative and no one else is. Who said anything about her being a b or getting comeuppance? Seriously, go take a walk and calm down.
lol you are the one pushing the narrative that it is TOTALLY INEXPLICABLE why Taylor Swift doesn’t have a baby and how she couldn’t possibly be on birth control
Those particular posts weren’t me. There is a spectrum of crazy here, that person is on one side and you are on the other. In the middle you have people wishing her the best and hoping that, if she does want a a long term relationship and kids, she gets it because realistically, most people don’t plan to start those things in their late thirties or forties.
omfg. STOP. She is in her early 30s, rich as midas, gorgeous, and oh yeah, a superstar. where in the world do you get the picture she’s crying at her spinsterhood? she will always have a boyfriend (or husband) and can have a baby whenever/however she wants.
She’s in her mid thirties. Yes nobody is denying that she is very successful and talented. But there’s always a difference between a breakup at 24 and a breakup at 34. And you are off your rocker dying on a hill insisting otherwise.
Why aren’t you crying for Joe? Oh yeah: sexism.
Breakups always suck, sure. But acting like this is a tragedy because she’ll be an old maid forever is just …
FFS. No one is saying she’ll be an old maid forever. But yes, at this point the best case scenario is that she’ll be a fairly older parent. IF someone wants kids, it’s inevitably sad that a six year relationship from ages 27-34 didn’t work out. Those are prime years for getting married and having kids, a notion that seems to offend you.
No one’s crying for Joe because sexist or not, it doesn’t work the same way for men. Sure, he’ll also be an older parent IF he wants kids, but it’s much more typical for a 38 year old man to be starting a family than a 38 year old woman. Yes, I know, Taylor is successful and rich and pretty! She can start a family at 38 too. She can start one at 45. But my point, which seems to be over your head, is that a breakup, particularly as a woman in your mid thirties, sucks if you want kids and haven’t had them yet.
So your overall point here is that Taylor Swift is “sad” because she is “wasting her fertility.”
No, my overall point is that IF she wants kids, yes, a long term relationship breakup at 34 is sad and makes things a bit more complicated. If she was 25, it would be sad but not complicated. I don’t know how to spell this out any clearer for you. Your point is a) that if she wants kids, its not complicated, because she’s rich and successful and pretty and therefore it doesn’t matter if she’s 40 if and when she puts the infrastructure in place to start a family and (this is the ludacris part you keep repeating) b) because she is successful and rich and pretty, you are adamant that she is “just fine” with her breakup and how everything is going. Because everything in Taylor’s life happens on her terms. You are like some rabid worshipper who thinks she’s some godly person. I think she is like any other 34 year old woman going through some things.
IF she wants kids she will have no problem having them when and how she wants. Even if she wants kids this is a happy story not a sad story. Instead of having to compromise with a sh*tty relationship or pressure the wrong guy into marriage due to her biological clock, she has no pressure.

What is your proof for that? Jennifer Aniston couldn’t “have kids when and how she wanted.” How do you know this is a happy story? What breakup is a happy story, particularly after you were together for six years? You sound delusional like you need to believe her life is perfect.
Maybe he moved on because she couldn’t get pregnant. I’ve seen that happen. If an attractive high status man wants heirs, he’s not going to stay with a barren women — no matter how rich she is.

Are you so clueless that you think she's just as fertile now at 33.5 years old as she was at 23 or 28? In addition, how soon does she meet a perfect guy, how long does the courting process last, does she want to get married first before getting pregnant? So, how many more years to you add to 33.5? The fertility clock is ticking away fast.

NP. If anything, she’s more fertile
She is probably more fertile as she had an eating disorder in her twenties. Now she is at a healthy weight. I was at my OB’s office the other day and she said all of her patients are 30+.
Most women who have fertility issues would have had them in their twenties as well.

Most? Doctors lie and say falsehoods to comfort patients. Or you just made that up. Either way, total bs.

JFC. She is richer than you could possibly fathom. If she wants a child tomorrow morning at her doorstep or in 20 years, she can get one. Surrogacy, domestic infant adoption and using donor egg & sperm are all options available to her at her level of wealth.

Taylor can buy the world’s best eggs. Also as THOUSANDS of dcum moms can tell you, getting pregnant at 35+ is totally normal.
