+1 it’s a huge field and the one (I think?) woman dropped out already, so all the men picked women. |
Sounds like we need to remind people that MoCo does not = MD. MD does in fact "love" Larry. His approval ratings are high, and he would probably cruise to a 3rd term if permitted. The rest of the state (outside Bmore) is mostly red or purple. People love Larry here |
All the white guys picked Black women because pandering. |
Baltimore City, Howard, MoCo, PG and Charles, AA and Baltimore County decided the elections. 5 of those jurisdictions are Blue and 2 are Purple |
It's true. Even the D's love Hogan in MD. The most recent Goucher polling is that 64 percent of Maryland Dems had a favorable view of Hogan. That's love from the opposite party, for sure |
+1 And the rest of the state is empty. Yes Garrett County is always red but it has the same number of people as Bethesda. |
This is true. But it doesnt negate the fact that the PP was wrong when they said MD doesnt love Larry; they absolutely do. Its almost equal favorability between Ds and Rs (bc Rs don't think he's conservative enough) |
| Apparently Schulz only leads Cox by 3 points, 25 to 22.... |
I would assume all the people that switched from D to R will vote for Schulz. And republicans have to understand that Cox getting the nom is a surefire to guarantee a Dem governor |
You'd think that, but a LARGE segment of Maryland Republicans are in lock step with Fmr. President Trump and by extension, Daniel Cox, who got his endorsement. But yes, barring the Dems nominating Jerome Segal, an avowed socialist, a Cox nomination virtually clinches the race for Democrats. |
A lot of white MD Dems are Catholic so they may not mind her past stances on abortion. Especially since party leaders don’t seem to mind too much about the court ruling. |
I’m a Dem, and Larry’s the only R I’ve ever voted for. I would vote for him for any office he ran for, no matter what Dem he ran against. The primaries will take him out, but he could win a national election. |
Very much in the mould of Charlie Baker in MA. |
| Hogan is popular because he can’t actually pass any legislation. If he were governor with a R house/senate, it would be a different game. |
