I’m confused! Trans swimmers Lia Thomas and Iszac Henig went head-to-head in the pool

I like to think of TERF as an acronym for Trying to Explain Reality to Fools. Only dimwitted morons overtaken by a ridiculous ideology would think transwomen competing in women's sports is fair.

I love this and am totally going to use it. At this point, any woman NOT being called TERFs by trans women and their handmaidens is doing it wrong. Trans women think that any suggestion that biological women’s rights matter is an attack on them. That tells any thinking woman all we need to know about what this latest male assault on women’s rights is all about.

A trans woman I know in real life warned me that I am getting “dangerously close to TERFdom.” You’d have thought he was my dad warning me not to give him lip - that’s how condescending and paternalistic his tone was. Imagine his shock when I said I’m proudly on Team TERF.

Every woman in the country should be up in arms about this and should demand change now.

If you can believe it, there is actually a transwoman suing under Title IX to overturn one of the state’s bans on transwomen competing against women. They think Title IX protects their “right” to an unfair competition. The transman at the ACLU who is leading the charge has actually suggested that she might file suit on behalf of Lia Thomas under Title IX.

Now, I don’t have an issue with trans-athletes competing on their new gendered team as long as the appropriate changes have been made relative to the sports requirements. That said, I don’t understand why there is a trans man is competing on the Yale’s female swim team. How does that make any sense, this person should WANT to be on the male swim team. Doesn’t this make it an open/mixed team.

Here is the article : https://www.outsports.com/trans/2022/1/9/22874147/lia-thomas-iszac-henig-penn-swimming-transgender-athlete-yale-ncaa-ivy

The headline: Thomas showed slower times in her two wins, as Yale transgender swimmer Iszac Henig showed speed, beating Thomas head-to-head.

Henig was apparently with the team before becoming a trans man. He specifically did not do his hormone treatments so as not to be ineligible to compete this last time with his teammates.

Okay, that’s nice and all but I’m sure it causes him great gender dysphasia to stay. I’m sure he doesn’t feel comfortable. Why didn’t he switch teams

You got the answer you already knew because you understand how Google works. Now go away.

For the first time ever, I’m glad we have a conservative Supreme Court.

They should create a new category for people who benefited from male puberty.

Agree.
It’s an ageist and sexist term designed to shut us up.

Instead of mansplaining, I’ll call this “transplaining.” That’s when someone raised male still thinks they need to explain things to women.

NP. I haven’t found any thing on Google about why the trans man would continue competing against women. Trans men don’t have to sit out any time or meet any requirements to enter men’s sports. The decision to keep competing against women is definitely a strange one considering the advocacy about how trans people need to be in the sports category that align with their gender identity.

So much for the NCAA saying just a month ago that it will up to the sport's governing body ( USA Swimming ) and that they would yield to USA Swimming for this year's NCAA Championship.
I guess the NCAA didn't like USA Swimming's policy that would have precluded Thomas from the NCAA Championship because now the NCAA has went back on what they said just a month ago -claiming "it wouldn't be fair. Yeah, they really said that...
So, as of today, Thomas will swim in the NCAA Championship

Ladies, it's way past time for us to circle the wagons and both refuse to give an inch and reclaim every inch "Be kind" has lost us

“Be kind” was always emotional manipulation intended to exploit female conditioning to give way to others at our own expense. The idea that letting people exploit us is “kind” is a misogynistic and disgusting trick. We need a backlash to this trans movement starting with the white males heads of universities who are letting women’s rights get trampled.

It is ironic that nearly all of the violence against trans individuals is perpetrated by men; however, the TRAs decide to create and use slurs that are demeaning to women, not the men who commit violence against them.

I feel for Lia and hope that she is able to compete in her sport; however she must know on some level that her participation is not fair.

THIS.

What you point out is exactly why this Lia person doesn’t care that he is cheating for an edge over women. Transgender women are men who seek to usurp women’s positions and suppress women to their advantage. Shouting us down is more important to them than facing the other men who murder them. Being “talked back to” by a woman is the greatest harm to these misogynists. A lot of women are confused about this. Just because a hateful man wears a dress and lives out a fetish doesn’t mean he is not the same patriarchal, mean spirited force he has always been.

It’s still mansplaining when done by trans women because they’re….
