It’s absolutely worth it. I was just talking with some friends today about how much better life was 5 or so years ago under Trump. Will we vote for him? No way. But none of us plan to vote for Biden again. One friend even used the term “suicidal” to describe another vote for Biden.

Oh and we’re all in NOVA so yea it matters.

Are you forgetting the pandemic? Good lord.

I remember a GLOBAL pandemic that was started in China. How exactly was Trump responsible for that?

Trump was a bastion of leadership during the pandemic. He had great ideas like sticking a flashlight up your *ss to cure Covid should be looked into.

His weakness invited Xi to attack us with his lab made china virus.

Attacked us because he was strong. To destroy what he was fixing. We now know there were Americans involved as well

Nope, they knew he was weak and wouldn’t do anything in response. And they were right.

Incorrect. We now know that it was planned and Americans were involved.

Another overplay of a hand. People can read the state laws for themselves. So the “no womens rights anywhere” line doesn’t play. And no one but the uber left want abortion until birth.

Do you understand how women are treated under Islam in the Middle East?

Or is Israel?

I encourage you to google "Women of the IDF".

Nothing about how he incited 1/6.

Nothing about how he leaked highly classified info to the Russians on TV.

Nothing about he put his stupid son in law in charge of the Middle East.

Nothing about how he’s currently spending most of his time shuttling around state and federal courthouses because he’s being charged with a million felonies.

Disagree with Biden on Israel? Fine.

But the choices we have are the choices we have. And to think Biden is worse than Trump is absolutely insane.

The dirty secret is no one really believes what you wrote except for hard leftists because Dems overplayed their hand. Most people are thinking “how many charges? What is the left so afraid of?”

That's how you rationalize it away? "Most people are thinking 'how many charges?'" That's not what most people are thinking. Most people are thinking Trump is a morally bankrupt criminal...but from the Republicans' POV, as long as he has an 'R' next to his name we'll look past it this time.

Actually that’s what “most people” think about Biden!

What charges or indictments does Biden have? These are clearly not the same.

Why bother? It was clearly an extremely weak attempt at a retort. You're not dealing with the brightest crowd who will meaningfully engage here.

+1
It’s Republicans with endless time of their hands.

Probably because they’ve alienated their adult kids with their constant talk about their hateful politics and attacks on their personal lives.

My adult kid was leftist until the attacks by Hamas on Israeli citizens. He said there is no way to rationalize that kind of barbarity. When truth b**ch-slaps you in the face, it tends to change minds

I did and this is what came up!
Ultra-Orthodox Extremists Assault Woman for Sitting at Front of Jerusalem Bus
When the woman declined to move, a group of 20 men began verbally berating her, and when she still refused to leave her seat they began physically assaulting her and prevented her from calling the police

-Life long Democrat

Lots of “Life long Democrat”s in this thread. Must be the new “Moderate dem.”

You guys know that no one believes you, right? “Walkaway” must be coming back.

Why wouldn’t you believe us? More dems than you want to admit feel this way. We just wouldn’t dream of stating it publicly

Ah yes. So many Life long Democrats are just itching to get Donald Trump back into the White House. With the Sharpies and the insults, the racism and the antisemitism, the in your face fundamentalism of his weird followers, the waking up every morning to see if what ally he’d offended, what inalienable right he’d executive summaried away.

Soooooo many Life long Democrats are especially excited for the fascist Christians to outlaw abortion across the country, to begin jailing women who have had abortions - or just an unlucky woman having a miscarriage someone thinks is suspicious, and for birth control to be illegal, too.

You guys aren’t believable. Maybe go back to being Moderates online? Although no one thinks Moderates are moderate. You know what MLK said about moderates. I’d post it again but the Moderates always boo hoo hoo about how mean it is.

I can’t see progressives or anyone sub 35 really voting for Biden. Dem leaders know too which is why they are prepping Newsom.

Right, because the entire country wants to be a homeless encampment.

Newsom would win fewer electoral college votes than Walter Mondale. Google it.

+1. This is the scary thing for dems. They know Kamala is not the solution. They are banking on Newsom but I don’t think he’s going to fly with the vast majority of voters.

At least this time they acknowledge that the majority wants a straight white male (I am not saying it’s good but it’s the truth they refused to see when pushing minority candidates on the voters). Obama was able to wing it but he is extremely smart, charismatic, and he is not too dangerously “other”.

Meanwhile in reality…

New Quinnipiac Poll: Do you think Trump should be prosecuted on federal criminal charges linked to the 2020 election?

Overall: 54% Yes - 42% No
Democrats: 95% Yes - 5% No
Independents: 75% Yes - 37% No
Republicans: 12% Yes - 85% No

Yep. I do lots of focus groups. There is a group of dems and independents who don’t love Biden. They are politically disengaged. They aren’t hanging out on the DCUM political forum on a Saturday afternoon. They also don’t like Trump. But because they are politically disengaged, they haven’t thought through the choice. In fact, one of the most common comments I hear is, “how could trump be running? Isn’t that guy going to jail or something?” I know it’s hard to understand for folks who are engaged, but many many people don’t actually realize trump will be the nominee again.

He isn't the nominee yet. He's just the most recognized name in any poll.

Nixon had support until his crimes really started being revealed. Then it fell apart.

Trump's trials are just getting started. His freaking kids will be testifying against him this week.

Give it time.

Not actually true. Bubble much?

Outside of your bubble, most Americans think Trump is guilty.

That's OK. When Republicans win, they can fire a bunch of DOJ lackeys, install their own people and start prosecuting former presidents and politicians they don't like everywhere.

You opened the door. It'll be an interesting ride!

If they have the evidence, feel free. Evidence is something Republicans have struggled with...but you know, courts are going to require it. It's why Trump lost more than 60 lawsuits related to the election.

Republican PP, who probably poses as a Life long Democrat upthread, is actually telling you one aspect of the mainstream Republican plan to end the functionality and impartiality of the government. Among other things, Project 2025 seeks to give unprecedented power to the (Republican) president they plan on installing.

Does anyone remember when Trump tried to get make a large sector of non political appointees into political appointees (via EO, natch) so he could fire them? The GOP plans on doing that to basically all of the government.

So if you remember the corruption and crony capitalism of the 1800s, or if you’ve blanched at your Indian immigrant friends’ tales of how government only works with payoffs and thought that all sounded like fun, vote Republican. They don’t want a functioning government and they’re going to take their political wrecking ball to everything.

You can call us all MAGA or whatever but you have no idea how much people are disgusted at U.S position in the ME, American foreign policy was set ablaze to benefit only the Israelis. Biden can go rot in hell. I will take my chances with Trump.

Please tell me you did not know we will be involved in the war when you voted for Biden. As soon as Biden won, everyone knew Putin will make a move. If you one of the State Department idiots who didn't know that it is understandable, but if you posted overseas with DOD it is really concerning.

As an Arab-American, no way I’m voting for Biden (I have always voted for democrats). He is complicit in the murder of thousands of innocent Palestinian children. He has blood on his hands.
