Trump simply is not a valid legal or ethical option. For anyone.
They remember NOTHING, apparently. Nothing about how he incited 1/6. Nothing about how he leaked highly classified info to the Russians on TV. Nothing about he put his stupid son in law in charge of the Middle East. Nothing about how he’s currently spending most of his time shuttling around state and federal courthouses because he’s being charged with a million felonies. Disagree with Biden on Israel? Fine. But the choices we have are the choices we have. And to think Biden is worse than Trump is absolutely insane.
The dirty secret is no one really believes what you wrote except for hard leftists because Dems overplayed their hand. Most people are thinking “how many charges? What is the left so afraid of?”
Meanwhile in reality… New Quinnipiac Poll: Do you think Trump should be prosecuted on federal criminal charges linked to the 2020 election? Overall: 54% Yes - 42% No Democrats: 95% Yes - 5% No Independents: 75% Yes - 37% No Republicans: 12% Yes - 85% No https://poll.qu.edu/poll-release?releaseid=3877
That's OK. When Republicans win, they can fire a bunch of DOJ lackeys, install their own people and start prosecuting former presidents and politicians they don't like everywhere. You opened the door. It'll be an interesting ride!
If they have the evidence, feel free. Evidence is something Republicans have struggled with...but you know, courts are going to require it. It's why Trump lost more than 60 lawsuits related to the election.
Republican PP, who probably poses as a Life long Democrat upthread, is actually telling you one aspect of the mainstream Republican plan to end the functionality and impartiality of the government. Among other things, Project 2025 seeks to give unprecedented power to the (Republican) president they plan on installing. Does anyone remember when Trump tried to get make a large sector of non political appointees into political appointees (via EO, natch) so he could fire them? The GOP plans on doing that to basically all of the government. So if you remember the corruption and crony capitalism of the 1800s, or if you’ve blanched at your Indian immigrant friends’ tales of how government only works with payoffs and thought that all sounded like fun, vote Republican. They don’t want a functioning government and they’re going to take their political wrecking ball to everything.
