That’s fine. Just don’t complain when the result is that trump actively encourages Israel to kill innocent Palestinian children. |
DP but... Biden has worked himself into a corner. He is making alternative sexual identities a cornerstone of his platform, to the point there was literally a line of topless trans people, one shaking what her surgeon gave her, on the WH lawn. Now he's openly siding with Israel (which I think is the right call). What exactly is he offering Arab Americans? I'm not sure why you'd think he would capture this demographic apart from other reasons (taxes, border, etc). |
Or when he revokes visas or institutes a Muslim ban
“Under the Trump administration, we will revoke the student visas of radical anti-American and antisemitic foreigners at our colleges and universities and we will send them straight back home,” Trump said in Iowa on October 16, falsely conflating anti-Zionism with antisemitism. Trump also vowed to expand his “Muslim ban” to include Palestinian people from Gaza if reelected. “If you want to abolish the state of Israel, you’re disqualified,” he said. |
You do realize that most countries are really, really hesitant to take many Palestinians, right? They have trouble immigrating to Muslim nations. |
More then Biden…that is going to be hard. |
Look out for when the leopards eat your face. It wasn’t Biden who referred to Arabic countries as “sh*+hole” countries. |
That phrase isn't limited to Arab counties and has been widely used in DoD and State circles for years. |
Nope this is not how it works. The election is more than a year away. Biden has a year to course-correct and stop relying on “I am marginally better than that criminal over there”. The time to coast is over. The time to make huge moral mistakes, theoretically, was never but there’s still time to course correct. The onus is on the Biden team to realize the danger and make changes. |
Whatever mistakes you think Biden is making, he isn't aligned with Hamas/Russia/North Korea as Trump is. This isn't a close decision to make if one actually believes in the US and democracy. |
“Making alternative sexual identities a cornerstone of his platform” is not a thing happening in real life. |
And I don’t plan to vote for Trump. But I definitely don’t decide a year from an election that I’m voting for the candidate who said three sentences about abortion in the state of the union and is leaving U.S. citizens to twist in the wind in Gaza. A lot can happen in a year. Trump could be in prison and ineligible for the ballot. He could have a health situation which precludes him from running. But Biden needs to start acting like he has to earn votes. |
I’m not voting. I’m totally disillusioned with Biden and I do not want to support him. I’ll probably still vote, because I cherish our right to vote. But I’ll either vote for Kennedy or I’ll write in someone else. But I’m done with Biden. |
I don’t think you will find your dream pro-Hamas candidate. |
Yeah this is definitely how you will build consensus around your preferred candidate— tell people who question his policies that they’re supporting terrorism. Isn’t that the Bush ‘04 playbook? |
You know, I remember quite a few Bernie female stans who didn't want to vote for Hillary in 2016 because of their conscience. They are very upset now about losing their right to bodily autonomy.
Vote for whomever you want, but be prepared to deal with the consequences, because either Biden or Trump will be president. And don't whine afterwards. Tired of dealing with privileged narcissists. |
