Bullis' final ranking in the UA/Inside Lacrosse high school national rankings the last three years - #22 in 2015, #3 in 2016, and #12 in 2017. Not too shabby. Gonzaga, Prep and Landon certainly have sustained their excellence longer, but Bullis has been on the rise since the hiring of Bellistri as head coach. Or, it could have been a coincidence, since they also had Trippi during that time. Who knows? At least there are more top end games to watch when you have more teams striving to be in the national conversation.

Bullis would have been average last year if it weren't for the high profile transfers they recruited in (the Maryland commit from Baltimore, the attackman from St. Stephens and the middie from Pallotti) It will be interesting to see how they are this Spring in the post Trippi era as he was as strong as a player I have seen in quite some time.

If a kid wants to be recruited by a college and is playing on a club's B team, that is a waste of time. No collgege coach is recruiting any B team kids.

100% true

Not true in Baltimore, I guess we just have better clubs.

Do they go D1?

Pp doesn't know what he is talking about, tons of D3 recruits from B teams/clubs.

Or how about Landon who brought in a starting goalie from The Heights, a kid from Oregon now at Navy, the best kid from STA committed to Michigan, etc. Be careful of throwing stones living in a glass house ...

Landon should repeat, but Bullis will be right there. SSSAS and Prep will fight for 3rd.

SSSAS will not be in it. They are not a strong gvteam. They rarely are., or at least their boys aren't. Their girls are another story. I think you've got your sexes confused.

They have a decent core returning as their 2017 class wasn't very good. But not anywhere near strong enough to challenge Bullis or Landon. But Prep? Yes, they can beat Prep who will be down again.

I'm pretty sure Landon brought in zero transfers this offseason, compared to Bullis who must have brought in at least 8 kids from other schools.

Great commitment from your coaching staff to the players already in your program!

So no comment on poaching starters from STA, The Heights and bringing a kid from Oregon? Or the senior PG you brought in from DeMatha for one year?

What hypocrisy from Bear Country. And no, I have nothing to do with Bullis. The fact that you claim 8 transfers in one year shows how jealous and idiotic you are.

Perhaps the kid from STA wanted to be on a winning team?

Are you drunk? Maybe the STA guy had academic issues or maybe he wanted to be on a better team. Regardless, that's his family's choice and none of our business. Same with the Bullis guys. Maybe the STAB kid wanted play against better competition. Maybe it was a money thing. Either way, that's none of our business, either.

If schools are going to accept transfers, then don't sling mud because another school brings in better transfers.

My son played against Bullis in a Fall Ball game a week ago. There were easily 5 kids, if not more, wearing different school helmets than the standard Bullis helmet.

Maybe they invited kids from other teams to play on their fall ball team because they were short on players.

Not sure what your point is. The fall ball teams often have some mixed players. There also are incoming freshmen from other schools who haven't played spring lax for Bullis yet and don't have their new school's helmets.
Anonymous
They weren't incoming freshman. Its pretty easy to spot a SJC helmet, a St. Stephens helmet and few Woottton helmets.

Oh my gosh. They had kids on the field who transferred from other schools. The school should be banned, and all the students exported out of the country.

My son goes to one of those schools whose star lacrosse player left to go to one of those other schools being maligned here. Yeah, the players and families at my kid's school were disappointed. But the players and/or their families thought it was somehow in the best interest of the kid to make the move. Maybe they are right, maybe they are wrong. But the idea - to do what is best for the kid - seems like the right one.
