yes

I've taught kids in grade 9 as old as 19, maybe 20. One threatened to shoot me dead years ago. The kids translated for me. He was out the next day, but that was back in the day when principals had say over their schools.

This isn't the case now. It's all been downhill for years. And it's absolutely disgusting what's allowed to go on in schools.

And all the newspaper report is Hispanic crime. What is up with that!?!

Why doesn't anybody care about the other rapes?

FFS. Start a new thread.

This particular rape is getting attention because it happened IN A SCHOOL. During school hours.

If you can't understand why, that's just nuts.

I don't care if the girl knew one of the boys are not. MCPS should be able to keep girls safe from a brutal rape such as this one. The system totally failed this poor girl.

I agree. This is scary because it can happen to anyone's child who's just attending school like a good student. You can teach your child right from wrong and not to hang around with the wrong crowd, but what can you teach them to stop this?

Definitely MCPS needs to address this in a big way. On the places that reported it (WashPost, Bethesda Magazine), they both turned off comments for the article. It's like they are trying to suppress discussion of a topic of concern for thousands of MoCo parents.

Post on the Parents' Coalition. The county hates it! She won't suppress your thoughts regarding this subject.

True, though the women who runs that (Janis) is a nutcase in her own right.. comes off as hysterical over the littlest things.

This blog allows comments, and has twice as many as Parents Coalition:

Why cut off comments? That's BS

My kids are still in MS but we are zoned for Rockville. A neighbor commented that the bathroom where this occurred is secluded and the only one that locks? Is that true?

If that's true, it sounds like the attackers knew that this was the bathroom to use.

How do we get Yahoo News to cover this story? Anybody have any insight? They put stories on their front page and they seem to get traction.

Emailed this thread and article to the Whitehouse.gov and Breitbart showing how 18 year old illegals are literally raping this country

Good. I did the same and added Drudge Report and Rush. Something has to be done. This is completely unacceptable. I encourage all to email the MoCo School Board about the current policy of 17 or 18 year olds being able to register as hs freshman. I did. Their email is: boe@mcpsmd.org

So what does the criminal system do here? If found guilty put them in jail for a long time or are they deported after the trial?

This is a direct result of the 'collateral' damage from the last administration allowing 100's of thousands of minor kids to cross the border in 2014 through the end of 2016. Fairfax County alone added 3,000 of "dreamers" to the roster in the 2015 - 2016 school year and it's anyone's guess what MoCo granted.
