Funny, PP! =)
Does your nanny eat all of your cornflakes!? My nanny does, and my dh called her on it, too. Yep, He yelled at her on the phone for 1 hour after she had apologized, and bought us 20 cases of new cork flakes. Do you think he overreacted? I confess, I sometimes eat ALL of the cornflakes, too. Anyway, now we count the cornflakes in the box daily just to make sure each cornflake is accounted for! Next time there is a cornflake discrepency, it is "Adios Nanny! Go eat someone else's cornflakes!" |
| cork=corn (oops) |
| I am trying to cornvert my nanny from a household employee to an independent corntractor, but she's resistant. Time for a new nanny? |
| Anyway... How about some corn recipes? |
| My cobs wont shuck-up and go to sleep. Where's my HFCS, dammt? Better yet where's my Ethanol, I need something with more kernel to it. |
I promise, if you fix this recipe, there won't be a bite left in the bowl! I usually double it.
Stewed Corn Ingredients 6 ears fresh Silver Queen corn ½ stick butter (not margarine) ½ cup whole milk 1 teaspoon salt Directions Shuck corn and remove all silks. Finely cut the corn. (With a sharp knife, vertically slice each row of kernels. Then cut off about ½ of the kernels, going round the cob. Repeat.) With back of knife, scrape juice from each cob. (It will splatter, so use a large bowl.) Place in double boiler. Add other ingredients. Cover and cook over gently boiling water for approximately 1 ½ hours. If needed, add more milk. Serves 4. |
Thanks I will try and fix it for my nibblet soon. |
