Gen Z not voting and handing a win to criminal Trump

The general election is more than 9 months away.

Yes, but it was clear (to actual observers) that Trump was going to win six to nine months before 2016.

There is no clear winner for 2024. Stop pretending that the matter is settled. The major parties haven’t even convened to decide who their candidates will be.

I have two new Gen Z voters in 2024. Will be 20 and 18 on election day. They are both interested in politics and very disappointed by the prospect of their choices (likely Biden vs. Trump) but will vote anyway. As a family, we are all discouraged that geriatrics with questionable mental faculties are the only option.

Dude, you got it right on that one.
Congratulations.
That doesn’t make you a psychic.

I think they are more likely to be drafted into the service of Biden wins.

The 18 year old is headed to university to be in ROTC and willingly serve our country. It's what he wants and has for a long time now. He's also an Eagle Scout. We are very proud of him. We all vote D by the way.

Nobody is getting drafted no matter who is president.

Our youngest eligible voters are less likely to buy into the "you better vote for this candidate or else the world will end" garbage messaging we hear out of the Trump and Biden campaigns. My gut feeling tells me many of them won't vote or will vote for a 3rd party candidate just because the messaging out of the two major parties is so off putting.

Yup. And Biden can't win the battleground states without the youth vote. It's just a point or two that will determine the victor in those states. Probably can't win Michigan, a blue state now, if Arab-Americans are going to vote for Trump out of spite.

As we all know, Trump was absolutely wonderful for Muslims. He loves Muslims so much he banned them from traveling to the US. And moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem was done because of his deep respect and admiration for Palestinians. And Trump is totally not buddies with Netanyahu. And his favorite daughter is for sure not Jewish. Counting on Trump to save the Muslims in Gaza is an awesome plan. Nothing could possibly go wrong.

They aren’t voting for Trump out of spite.
They are voting for Trump, because they are culturally anti democratic.
We going to have to come to terms with it at some point.

Wow with the Islamophobia?

Strange how they keep sending young women to Washington what with all that being “culturally anti-democratic” and all.

4 Gen X voters in my immediate family, all voting for Biden. I didn't raise idiots.

Now that Dobbs has been decided by the Supreme Court, why does it matter what candidate you vote for. It’s literally water under the bridge. The court has 6 conservative justices right now and they aren’t going anywhere for the next decade. I don’t understand this statement of women rushing to the polls to protect their abortion rights. It’s all state based now and no one is changing that unless Congress codifies it and that won't be happening any time soon either.

No it wasn’t. He was set to lose after being embarrassed and exposed as an idiot in the debates, but Comey and the FBI saved him. He still barely squeaked by in the electoral college despite losing the popular vote by 3 million.

A democratic senate and house could pass a women's health bill that secures the rights for all women. Having a pro-choice president makes a different in the composition of the court and the DOJ.

Just close your legs ladies and forget about voting!

I’m sure there will be plenty of disinformation about Biden on TikTok in the run up to the election that will persuade them that the orange menace is presidential material.
