Gen Z not voting and handing a win to criminal Trump

Anonymous
This is certainly one perspective.

Another question would be, why isn’t a political apparatus that knows absolutely that it needs Gen Z votes to be successful ignoring them so much? Republicans know they need old people— and they act like it. Democrats never seem to act like they need their voters.

Only about half the Gen Z generation is even old enough to vote. Not sure why the massive handwringing and ignoring abortion/birth control as an issue. That’s not going to win GOP fans.

Why can’t Gen Z see the big picture? Are you all just crazy not to see the wall we are about to hit if Trump gets in again? He’s a dictator and a criminal. How on earth can you all stay on the sidelines and say you aren’t going to vote in the upcoming election because of X, Y, or Z? How can you dare not vote and basically hand the presidential election to Trump, which is what he’s counting on…your apathy and confusion….because you actually think he’s a better candidate and forget everything else he stands for or has done to disrupt peace, including the insurrection?

What the f? Gaza is a genocide. 25,000 civilians killed and 2.3 million homeless facing death by starvation. Gen Z has it right Biden and the old folks home are wrong. This is a values thing. The Democratic Party will not go along with a genocide for a Jewish state.

If you don’t want Trump all you have to do is cut Israel off and a one state solution. I guess you would rather destroy US democracy vs stop the slaughter in Gaza. This is happens what Israel is more important vs the US.

I agree with you about Gaza but how do you think not voting and allowing Trump to win leads to a better outcome? This is where I get lost….you are going to hurt Palestinians more in the long run if you allow Trump to be elected.

Yeah I think abortion and guns might get them out to vote for Biden - or might not! We'll see. Sometimes I find it really hard to disentangle what's really happening, v what's happening on twitter. (Or TikTok)

How do you suggest Gen Z communicate their disapproval on Gaza while still voting for Trump?

Vote against Trump. Trump is all in on Israel.

So is Biden. That’s what “unconditional support” means. He talks about being sad about dead Palestinian children more, but on policy? Essentially the same.

Gen Z doesn’t want an 81-year-old president.

This handwringing is way too premature. Once the reality has sunk in that the race is between Trump and Biden, the kids will vote for Biden or stay home. They are not voting for Trump. Kids in Red states who feel the GOP oppression will get out and vote for Biden. Just like they did in the mid-terms and for abortion ballot measures. Kids in CA, NY, MD will sadly sit around and moan about Biden. Lets just hope them sitting out doesn't cost us the House. I think Biden wins regardless.

Exactly! Post-Clinton it always feels like shut up, we, the Democratic politicos will tell you what you should feel and do. We don’t want you to think, just do as we say.

At least some are trying to make him sweat a bit on an issue important to them so that changes can be made.

Why is the argument always framed as vote for the lesser evil (my guy) or the fall of democracy is your fault? Why not have democrats put up a guy worth getting out of bed to vote for? You come with the absolute laziest argument but want to shame others. We get what we deserve when voting (or not voting).

Abortion is now in the state’s hands. If democrats thought it was so important, why didn’t they legislate it into law? Everyone knew that Roe was a stop gap.

Most of Gen Z is too dumb to vote anyway. We really should raise the voting age to 25-30, maybe limit it to property owners too with the exception going to those who served.
