He should have stayed unmarried instead of bringing three more children into the world that he didn't want to spend time parenting. |
+1 definitely |
I feel bad for the kids to be in the middle of this. I hope he makes an effort to spend time with them now that he no longer lives with their mother. |
Yeah, I also feel sorry for teens (13, 14, 15) with a Hollywood royalty dad, living in multiple mansions full of servants, attending the best private schools, who can go to college they want... and will inherit a fortune. ![]() I feel sorry for kids who grow up piss poor in Appalachia and Baltimore ghettos. Not teen silver spoons in California whose parents are merely divorcing. |
Because it's not tethered to reality. It's probably some cyber smear campaign, with a handful of bitter ex wives and wannabe gold diggers thrown in. |
My view: he should buy her a house in his neighborhood so kids can easily go to/from each parent’s home. He should cover kids’ education expenses and set up a trust for them. Then give the ex-wife a flat number, say $20M for the rest of her life.
Eliminate the monthly alimony. His wife should really talk with Rupert Murdoch’s ex-wife, who got her kids first in line for inheritance. I guarantee Costner will have more kids because he doesn’t wear rubbers, he’s sleazy like that. |
That was my first post in this thread, you nutcase. |
Alimony? Do you mean child support? I haven't seen anything about alimony. |
Do we know how they met? Interesting that they both appear to be Cal State Fullerton alums. |
Why would he give a girlfriend money after a break up? That would be ridiculous. I can't imagine the gall to even ask for it! Hopefully she was dating him because she loved him and not for his money. Likely why the NDA and agreement was in place - although I am sure she still benefited greatly during the 6 years together and likely did not pull her own weight financially. It must be near impossible for the ultra rich / famous to find someone who isn't mostly after their lifestyle and money. I wouldn't expect any man or woman to give an ex boyfriend or ex-girlfriend money when they break up. Even for the ultra rich with kids I think there should be a cap for child support - something like 25k a month. And alimony in the ultra rich rarely makes sense as they have housefuls of nannies and drivers and house managers and landscapers and cleaning services and chefs etc. There is no need for a woman to give up her career in those families. |
Who will pay the property tax? |
He has only had one child outside of a marriage and his youngest is 13 so it seems he has mastered some form of birth control. Why would he give her 20M? His financial obligation is to the kids, not his ex wife. A house - sure. And pay all kids expenses. |
A "contract is a contract" for Tiger Woods and his six year live-in girlfriend, whom he made quit her career. She can't even talk because of the NDA. But who cares, a contract is a contract, right? But a "contract is NOT a contract" for Costner and his ex-wife? It's not like Costner is denying child support. He's paying for everything plus six-figures a month in child support. |
In that case Christine’s kids would already be in third place. But sure, document that. |
They should both honour the contracts! And Tiger's girlfriend chose to give up her career. She is an adult with choices. |
