Where it will be summarily shut down by the judge. Yawn.

DP. Once again, that’s really not the point. Yawn, indeed.

Yes, it is the point. All the idiots wasting their time on this think they're punishing the SB members and are that makes themselves oh so powerful. It's laughable and pathetic. Get all your cutesy little signatures, then sit back and watch as nothing happens. Buffoons.

Uh oh, someone’s triggered! Having a petition against you, signed by thousands of your constituents, is indeed punishment. And it will certainly prevent them from ever winning another SB election, should they be foolish enough to run again. It is “laughable and pathetic” that you seem unable to grasp this.

That's actually assuming that anyone beyond DCUM and OpenFCPS knows that there's a recall petition.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock in Fairfax County - the public is well aware of the recall efforts.

I live in Tholen’s district and I only know of the efforts b/c of DCUM.

People walking through or driving past the places where they have tables know about the efforts.

Great news. Maybe she could take the hint and resign?

Seems like if there’s such a groundswell to get rid of her, you lot would’ve had your petitions signed ages ago. Why would one resign just to satisfy a fringe minority?

She's been a lousy board member - weak, self-serving, unimaginative.

Our "lot" doesn't need to explain it to you. She can explain it to a judge soon.

I have been watching those recall folks from the outside.

It seems like in the winter when they began, it was mostly that group reaching out to friends and neighbors. But over the past couple of months since they started doing events in tue community, the interest in the petition and numbers of volunteers have grown significantly.

I saw that at one daytime event last week tyey received around 150 signatures. Over the weekend they got in excess of a thousand signatures.

Support for this school hoard is eroding, and as more people become educated as to how far to the extreme fcps has swung under this school board, more people are interested in signing and getting involved.

I also live in the Dranesville district and have seen petition signings while out and about, and neighbors are all talking about it.

It used to be "you people," but when that got called out for its obvious tone of aggression it was "y'all" for a while. Now it's "your lot," perhaps to be followed by "your ilk" if they get closer to recall another member besides Tholen.

How many signatures do they need in total for Tholen?

How close is the Omeish petition? I haven’t had a chance to sign it yet but would very much like to. She’s awful.
