Says the far left extremist.

You are proving my point. You know nothing about my political views but the moment I bring something that is contrary to your view—you call me a far left extremist.

Gosh - what does that remind me of? Can’t quite place it… think, think, think…

If they were more interested in dealing with education instead of the almost exclusive focus on social engineering and victimism, it wouldn't be an issue.

+ infinity

Say the people whining about how they have been victimized because they didn’t get their way…

Hmm, 2016-2020 ring any bells? Wow. The cognitive dissonance is stunning.

Why shouldn’t people want to get “their way” when that means a School Board that isn’t composed of a bunch of poseurs and hypocrites and is actually focused on the nuts and bolts of educating all kids, rather than a grab bag of flaky fringe issues. It’s not an unreasonable ask.

In this case the petition people "getting their way" can only strengthen fcps and benefit the students of fcps.

Anything that drags this school board towards moderation, fiscal responsibility, focusing only on education and remediating this lost year, and being a school board that knows their most important duty is education above all social and political projects is a very good thing for every student, no matter where their family's political persuasion falls.

I don’t see the political projects but as for the social ones, I’m certain that each SB member has received countless complaints/concerns from families of color about the experiences of their children within FCPS schools. You may not like it, but the SB has a responsibility to those members of their constituency too.

No one said they didn't. But this School Board is about PR and band-aids, not education.

The amount of attention spent on transgender issues and changing TJ admissions (when there are over 200 other schools in FCPS, many of which are neglected and left to run almost completely on auto-pilot) is ridiculous.

Signing event for Tholen today is until 2:00 near J. Gilbert's (Old Dominion & 123) in McLean.

Have any of the SB addressed the campaign to have them removed?

They don't give a rip about them, who are more likely to NOT be able to afford to fix the problems caused by FCPS atrocious reading "instruction"

They can talk about equity tho. That makes it alllllll better.

Not too much directly. They don’t want to acknowledge the recall campaigns for fear of giving them free publicity. They have their proxies on the local Democratic committees and politicians like Marcus Simon insult the parent groups instead.

They just come here to anonymously whine about it.

I believe Cohen responded in one single article. I forgot which.

Where it will be summarily shut down by the judge. Yawn.

DP. Once again, that’s really not the point. Yawn, indeed.

Yes, it is the point. All the idiots wasting their time on this think they're punishing the SB members and are that makes themselves oh so powerful. It's laughable and pathetic. Get all your cutesy little signatures, then sit back and watch as nothing happens. Buffoons.

Uh oh, someone’s triggered! Having a petition against you, signed by thousands of your constituents, is indeed punishment. And it will certainly prevent them from ever winning another SB election, should they be foolish enough to run again. It is “laughable and pathetic” that you seem unable to grasp this.

That's actually assuming that anyone beyond DCUM and OpenFCPS knows that there's a recall petition.
