Bottom line —you may not have terrible manners, but you do have trouble writing/communication. Although – – communication and manners can go together. ![]() |
^ Meant terrible not trouble. (trouble fits well conceptually, just not grammatically). |
You are not a nice person. |
Ok so now we know OP and (insert pronoun) are intimate. My question is what happened before going to sleep? (besides the obvious.) More to this story. Homeowner is pissed off about something and thermostat was a convenient way to start a fight. |
Two menopausal lesbians on the spectrum? |
Pp here. Good point. Maybe the temp complaint was not the real issue at all! Or maybe the couple had their own issues and taking it out on you was convenient. |
This is so wrong. (Only one was menopausal - hence the thermostat argument). 😂 |
Our guest room is upstairs with it's own AC unit. I always let my guest know to feel free to adjust it to their comfort. As a host that's my primary concern. They are rude host but I personally wouldn't touch someone's thermostat without permission-which is why I always let my guest know. |
6 days? Y'all are not bright. |
Livid? Really over the AC? Christ I feel for your kids...and your mom. |
Putting a house in the south at 58-62 is a disgusting energy hog when it's 90 plus half the year. Maybe 70 is the better option - little ze self-involved. |
livid because a menopausal woman was having horrible hot flashes and needed the temperature down? Good grief—put on a sweater. You can add layers but a woman sweating because of hormones gets control if the thermostat. Period. Some day you’ll understand and be embarrassed for being livid over something so stupid. |
Yeah, can't touch the thermostat in someone else's home. That said, they should not make a big deal about it. |
Not appropriate OP. Just open a window, as I would assume they have it so hot for a reason. |
Is anyone else pleased that OP responded and this thread is #3 on Off Topic?
OP, thank you. I support you and your comfort. |
