If a man want more children he Will not get a vasectomy. He isn't being tricked.

I have a V. I'd love to trick a woman into thinking she is tricking me into getting herself pregnant by not taking her BC and having all the crazy sex she can with me to "accidentally" get pregnant, but it never happens. Or she does, but not by me but tries to tell me it's mine. Yeah, that's Fd up I know.

OP, if your STBX marries another woman and has children with her, they would also have to put up with you and your children. It's a pain for them also. See the thread by the stepmom who bitched about having dinner with the first wife (mom to the stepkids). And if kids with second wife are also his kids, so what makes you think yours are more special? Just because they're 'original'?

This is all the more reason to get the vasectomy.

Anyone who views their older children as a pain that they have to deal with should not be having any additional children. Consider it a societal good to actively prevent that.

Vasectomy won't prevent him from hooking up with a woman who already has children and providing resources to them.

A long time ago I saw a daytime talk show with this same scenario. The younger woman insisted that she hadn’t cheated. The man was angry and really wanted to shame her - he kept saying “I had a vasectomy!” Well, turns out theirs was the one in a million situation where the vasectomy was not 100% effective and he was the father.

This also makes the man look bad to his family AND any potential dates. Nobody wins in this scenario. Not the wife. Not the man. And certainly not the kids.

It stops at 18 in the vast majority of cases. 21 in a few states and DC. Unless your kids with that ex-wife are a decade or more apart in age, CS is going to be a short obligation on your part and a brief benefit for her and the kids.

It is also typically a low sum unless you are a multi-millionaire (and we know YOU and most of your audience aren’t) so hardly enough to fully support the exwife and kids.

And unless you stopped having at kids at age 50, paying even 18 years of child support won’t be for the rest of your working life. Let’s be honest that you were never going to be able to retire early anyway.
