Ok, but here is my question. How is stock marketing doing? Has he done anything about unemployment? Sure, there was that tax reform. What has he done? Every politician is a scum bag, imo, but that is not the issue, is that scum capable of making positive changes to economy or not? Honestly, I can't tell either way, I don't care, any news I start to read have to do with porn stars and Russia, etc... I don't see Russia as a threat to US, so I don't care. I see no difference between US aggressive military actions and Russia's aggressive military actions, only fools are going to claim that US is right and Russia is wrong. You go head to head, and US has caused more wars and more aggression around the world. The fact that there are more news on Melania's hat than on what Trump and Marcon talked about, is appealing for all media. Now all major media is fully on board of tabloid train. He and any president can have whatever affairs they want, can he do something positive for the country? Maybe not yet, but still he hasn't started a full blown war on Iraq....for nothing. |
i agree. It wasn't offensive as much as it was just a bad routine. i mean, you never really heard anyone from the dinner even laughing. And the camera had to really try hard to find the one or two people laughing at the dinner. there were so many awkward silences (instead of laughter) between her jokes - it was just a bad routine. And she knew it too - when you watched her go back to her seat, she wasn't really smiling and looked pretty tense. She knew she bombed. I actually feel bad for Michelle Wolf after that. |
+1 SHS and the administration disrespect journalists and amaeicans on a daily basis. I think the outrage is because 1. People didn’t actually hear wolf’s jokes but see shs as an easy target based on looks and assume wolf went there. It says more about those people than about wolf. You can see Maggie haberman acrounging for a basis for her criticism of Wolf. 2. Certain journalists are trying to protect their sources (like shs) because the sources are upset the journalists are pretending outrage. |
How did the pediatrician make that diagnosis? |
I didn’t realize Republicans had forfeited their right to call out a vile performance as just that. I am concerned, though, that some on the left are becoming unmoored from everything except hatred of Trump. As for gummy, oh ha, ha, wow, a joke about Trump not being as rich as he claims. That’s a new one. Here’s hoping we don’t have to see this demented seeming Annie again. |
^ As for funny |
However you need to rationalize it to yourself... |

I didn't even get half of them. Someone, please explain:
"Mike Pence is what happens when Anderson Cooper isn't gay" What does that even mean? And what is funny about saying "Mike Pence is the kind of guy who brushes his teeth and then drinks orange juice and thinks, Mmm" It almost seems like she wanted to say something about toothpaste and orange juice....couldn't come up with anything except "Oh, hey, here's a guy who thinks that tastes good." It's just...not funny. Oh, and the joke about southwest? Another joke that doesn't make sense (the Don is so broke that southwest used him as one of their engines?????) what does that mean? it's another statement where it sounds like she really really really wanted to make a southwest joke, but couldn't come up with anything so equates being poor with....what....being a failed engine? Can someone explain these jokes? |
| Someone should have pulled the fire alarm and put her out of her misery. She makes a living doing this? |
The "Pence is gay" rumor/conspiracy theory has been around DC for a long time since he was a member of the House. She was referring to that and DC-based journalists would definitely be familiar with the rumor. This is totally OK since the GOP fully embraced conspiracy theories like Pizzagate during the election. I actually laughed really hard at this joke. The Southwest joke plays off the fact that Trump is a "windbag" who blows a lot of metaphorical "hot air." This one fell flat - she could have done a better Southwest joke. |
| Everyone is missing the point of her speech/act, which can basically be summarized by the last minute of what she said. That no one, even the media, is actually doing anything to change or affect anything in this country anymore and everyone is just profiting off the miserable state of government. They secretly love Trump. They created the monster and they are all profiting from him. Her point is spot on and her act was brilliant. |
Absolutely correct! |

I'm sorry but some of this is pretty funny.

“Flint still doesn’t have clean water,” she said, as they all applauded. |
