That wasn't the end of the joke. That line was to get the reaction from the crowd, and set up the punchline: "And, yes, sure, you can groan all you want. I know a lot of you are very antiabortion. You know, unless it's the one you got for your secret mistress."

Right, I was offended initially (I'm prochoice), but by the end was amused.

Who says it's true? Half the country doesn't agree with you. Don't you liberals get that? The abortion joke not only deeply offended the pro-life half of the country, but a large portion of the pro-choice half as well. And this was only one of a long string of jabs at non-liberals. If she wanted to say this in a night club or HBO special, fine. But the WHCD is not supposed to be so partisan that it totally bashes half the country. How do people really not get this?

Agree. I'm pro-choice (though definitely don't consider myself a liberal), and found her comments on abortion to be revolting. I think having to have an abortion would be heartbreaking, though I believe it's a personal choice and needs to always remain legal. To mock it is horrific.

THE JOKE WAS ABOUT REPUBLICAN HYPOCRISY IN TRYING TO OUTLAW ABORTION WHILE A MAJOR REPUBLICAN MOVER & SHAKER PAID HIS EXTRA-MARITAL LOVER TO ABORT THEIR FETUS.

She was funny at times but majority of the time she was just blatantly inappropriate. Hasan Mihnaj from last year was so much better !

She was awful. And I say that as a fan of a Daily Show and a liberal.

Many of her jokes were good, but the delivery sucked. They actually sounded more funny when I read the text. But between her high-pitched, annoyingly nasal voice, her reading the jokes (what comedian reads her lines at such an important event?!), and her irritating habit of laughing at her own jokes BEFORE the punchline, the roast was terrible.
