The White House Correspondents Dinner was supposed to be a place where harsh partisan politics is set aside and the people that work together in media and politics let their hair down and have some good-natured fun. What they did was the opposite of that. It only denigrates one of the few traditions in DC that promotes non partisanship. Now, why would a conservative ever attend? The only time it's going to be possibly funny and not just cruel is if the governing party is liberal.
This nails it.
+1
+2 Trump gets it and didn't attend either . Some of us already knew all of this. Liberals have gotten unbelievably nasty - threatening to cut off their parents, spouses, children if they don't vote their way. Acting like members of the other party (which includes moderate Dems/Rs) are subhuman and openly advocate for/say it's okay to treat Republicans with prejudice/hate. All with a massive, smug sense of moral superiority and delusional self conviction. Are Liberals a political group or a religion now? "Lockstep with us or we will burn you at the stake"
There is voting for another party/candidate (traditional Ds vs Rs), and then there’s voting for a vile, selfish scumbag. If you can’t see the difference...
So you cut off your parents/relatives/kids who are Hilary voters too? Must be lonely in your smug little universe.
Nope. Just the ones who voted for a vile, selfish scumbag. Hint: rhymes with rump.
Ok, but here is my question. How is stock marketing doing? Has he done anything about unemployment? Sure, there was that tax reform. What has he done? Every politician is a scum bag, imo, but that is not the issue, is that scum capable of making positive changes to economy or not? Honestly, I can't tell either way, I don't care, any news I start to read have to do with porn stars and Russia, etc... I don't see Russia as a threat to US, so I don't care. I see no difference between US aggressive military actions and Russia's aggressive military actions, only fools are going to claim that US is right and Russia is wrong. You go head to head, and US has caused more wars and more aggression around the world. The fact that there are more news on Melania's hat than on what Trump and Marcon talked about, is appealing for all media. Now all major media is fully on board of tabloid train. He and any president can have whatever affairs they want, can he do something positive for the country? Maybe not yet, but still he hasn't started a full blown war on Iraq....for nothing.
