Friday's "snow?"

MCPS could announce the same as PGCPS, but you all have Taylor running scared.

If he wants to keep his job, he should be scared. No more wimping out over a small amount of water.

Remember last year when every surrounding county closed, and MCPS had a delay, disgusting

MCPS is Code Green — Normal Operations for Friday, Dec. 5. Schools and Offices Opening On Time

The National Weather Service is predicting a slight chance of light snow during the morning commute today, Dec. 5, with minimal accumulation possible on untreated roads. We do not anticipate this forecast to impact MCPS operations. Schools and offices will open on time, and all programs—including childcare programs—may operate as scheduled. Families are encouraged to check with their childcare provider.

Please use caution when traveling and allow extra time when driving or walking to bus stops and dress warmly. Don’t forget the hats and gloves - it will be very cold.

This is so stupid.

It's so they can just make them up with half-days where students and teachers don't have to do anything. They're basically just paid vacation days.

Teacher here. We do stuff on half days. We do regular stuff, just less of it. Why are you being a jerk?

Damn! My high school kid was really hoping for a 2h delay. Not fun trekking out to the bus stop and waiting in the dark in this freezing weather

Another teacher—definitely teaching on half days (elementary school).

This.

My three kids always had instruction or assessment on half days (DCC schools) except the last day of school.

Well decisions to delay are not made based on the fun factor, thankfully. Good grief, it's 30 degrees, not zero. Tell them to put on a hat.

Stop lying. Prince George's is o a 2hr delay, like Fairfax.

Shocker that MCEA's misinformation and is out in force to push for early day-drinking.

This has nothing to do with MCEA and everything to do with anti-public school trolls trying to sow discord online. Y’all will be happy homeschooling if it sticks it to the teachers, right?
