Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
| King George's county is closed and they have the same conditions. Closure VERY likely. |
And? It's a terrible system that is incredibly anti-family. This is such a weird take. It isn’t schools that are anti-family, it’s employers. You don't think it's good for kids to go to school? Or for parents to work? |
King George's County is 60 miles away |
Oops Prince George's |
Closer, but still not the same weather. Pretty ridiculous for them to make a call before the morning, though. |

|
Not sure where that's from: https://www.pgcps.org/ shows a 2-hour delay. |
Stop lying. Prince George's is o a 2hr delay, like Fairfax. |
|
From WaPo:
Arlington Public Schools: 2-hour delay Culpeper County Public Schools: 2-hour delay; essential employees to report on time Fairfax County Public Schools: 2-hour delay Fauquier County Public Schools: 2-hour delay Loudoun County Public Schools: 2-hour delay Manassas City Public Schools: Closed; Code Blue for Employees Prince George’s County Public Schools: 2-hour delay; Code Orange for employees Spotsylvania County Public Schools: Closed; essential personnel report for emergency services as necessary Stafford County Public Schools: Closed |
She said King George which is a DCUM exurb at best. More like in Richmond. |
Shocker that MCEA's misinformation and is out in force to push for early day-drinking. |
No, then she corrected it to PG. She can't keep her story straight. |
This is so stupid. |
It's so they can just make them up with half-days where students and teachers don't have to do anything. They're basically just paid vacation days. |
| PGCPS is on a two-hour delay but said they'll reassess in the a.m. and close if warranted (and before you all say something, that's not standard language for all school systems, such as Calvert which is also on a two-hour delay, period). MCPS could announce the same as PGCPS, but you all have Taylor running scared. |
