Transgender people exist and have rights and should be protected...but gender identity being non-existent at birth...the far left extreme ideologies surrounding gender identity is what is being forced down everyone's throats. They lost the election because people don't like this - and while too scared to voice it for fear of career damage and society cancelling - they were not scared to vote [or not vote or vote third party] accordingly and that's a big reason Trump won.

I recently went to an indie bookstore to buy the latest JK Rowling (writing as Robert Galbraith) book and was snootily told "we don't agree with her and do not carry her books." I said nothing but walked out of the store never to return. This is a woman-owned business and I was one of its first customers and bought hundreds of books from them. During the pandemic, I made cash donations so that they could pay their rent. I felt sick rather than angry that a woman I admired was so narrow minded.

So what? You cannot say, with any credibility, that this is an issue that hurts Republicans electorally, and conversely, that it doesn't hurt Democrats electorally. The right has successfully painted all Democrats as supporting physically male transgender athletes in women's sports. Just because John Oliver says it doesn't make it true.

I believe in human rights and that transgender people should be protected under our civil rights laws. I'd also support a carve out for sports.

I'd also ask everyone posting on this issue if they have personal experience with it with their teens. I do. I would 100% support my teen if they truly presented as transgender, but lived through two puberties where my kids turned to thinking they were transgender/non-binary to escape their developmental changes. And so did their friends.

We are always told that this is such a tiny slice of the population so why are they being picked on. I'd use the same argument to ask why we are paying so much attention to it?

They ran ads saying schools were operating on kids. Why is that ok? It’s a blatant lie but everyone’s ok with it. In our school at least, you had to fill out a form if the name used at school is anything other than the birth certificate. You couldn’t “be transgender at school” without parents knowing about it. Teachers are barely keeping their heads above water but you claim they have time, effort, incentive, etc to indoctrinate kids?? Why? What incentive do they have? It makes zero sense.

That’s not happening. Social media sure but so is your body my choice. Can’t control that. Teachers can’t even give a kid an aspirin without 50 forms being signed, but ads ran saying kids are having sex changes at school. That’s outrageous that those ads ran. Like the Harris ads that encouraged wives to lie to their husbands about who they voted for. Democrats are big on lying to your family members for their sakes.

Schools aren’t operating on kids and changing their gender; they are encouraging kids to lie to their parents about changing gender and helping them deceive their parents. Sick.

It is even worse than this. There are kids identifying as various animals at school and teachers/admin enabling this behavior; albeit, the parents of said children are in on it too because they are insane and we as a society have been forced to accept this demented behavior.

Democrats still don’t understand the jig is up. We know. We don’t like it. We would rather vote for Trump than let democrats destroy our children. Not even a tough choice.
