This whole post is way off the mark. Democrats lost the election for "multiple reasons" -- that being said, one of the reasons is this:

A culmination of cancel culture, extremist DEI and woke culture, pronoun nonsense, social constructs not based on science.

I am disgusted by all the cancel culture, especially in regards to JK Rowling and I actually am a bigger fan of hers simply because she continues to stand her ground. Good for her! Recent Article below - I'm so proud of her.
https://www.newsweek.com/jk-rowling-politics-...omens-rights-1983654

They lost the election because people don't like this - and while too scared to voice it for fear of career damage and society cancelling - they were not scared to vote [or not vote or vote third party] accordingly and that's a big reason Trump won.

I recently went to an indie bookstore to buy the latest JK Rowling (writing as Robert Galbraith) book and was snootily told "we don't agree with her and do not carry her books." I said nothing but walked out of the store never to return. This is a woman-owned business and I was one of its first customers and bought hundreds of books from them. During the pandemic, I made cash donations so that they could pay their rent. I felt sick rather than angry that a woman I admired was so narrow minded.

Thank you for sharing and proving my point. This is one (of many) reasons Harris lost. The DNC has tied itself to this extremist cancel culture mindset. Then they turn around and blame this on "low info voters" and continue to deny deny deny. I regret voting for Harris because I am now seeing just how obtuse and "low info" the Democratic party truly is.

But you’re ok with a baker not selling a wedding cake to a gay couple? What can’t a bookstore owner decide which books she wants to seek and which authors she wants to support?

Because the cancel culture has gone too far. I love that JK Rowling continues to stand her ground and say "f* off"...but she has the funds to be able to do so. Many do not and live in fear of being fired or cancelled for simply having an opinion or standing up for their rights.

Sure, the bookstore owner has the right not to carry an author's books, but it's why she chooses to do so. Because the bookstore owner was brainwashed into thinking that just because someone disagrees on allowing minors to use blockers she's automatically labeled anti-trans. That is why it is wrong.

The DNC and Kamala didn’t cancel JK Rowling. You need to separate what the executive branch controls from changing culture. Kicking us all back to the 30s over it was dumb.

You continue to be obtuse. The DNC base and its policies do support the whole cancel culture/gender identity wars.

Actually, I don't care about either. I simply ordered the book from Amazon at a lower price and with free shipping. Despite the bookstore owner's principled belief that the author's work did not merit a place on her shelves, the book has been a best seller. The other booksellers clearly lack the moral superiority of the bookstore owner, the same moral superiority that lost the election for the Democrats.

And she’s ok with that. When business owners make decisions like this, they are perfectly fine with losing your business. You don’t need to lecture her about what a mistake she made. She has a target clientele and you are not it.

I didn't lecture anyone. I simply walked out of the store when the shopgirl told me they didn't carry the book because it was against the owner beliefs to do so. And I was very much the owner's target clientele: a reader who bought numerous hardback books at full price from a variety of authors and genres. How else could she compete with the booksellers I now use?

The DNC didn't come out and stand up against the idiotic cancel culture/gender identity politics/wars. They support it 100%. We all know they support it. We all voted accordingly...or voted third party, or didn't vote. Until you accept this and learn that you will have to start talking about it and ensuring that the DNC does not 100% align with this mentality then you will continue to lose.

You just voted to decimate the entire government. You just voted for a sex offender and felon to run the country. You’re about to put a sex offender in charge of the DOJ and the DoD. You likely just voted for the last time - or at least the last time it will actually count in your lifetime. Congratulations, though. You really showed them!

What did you do to convince him otherwise?

I used the "we" as in referring to the nation. I voted for Harris because I couldn't stand Trump...but I also knew in my gut that he was going to win - I pay attention to details, I know how to read the room.

But I know many people who voted third party or didn't vote because of this. Heck I was so tempted to write in Mickey Mouse and honestly wish I had instead of voting for Harris simply because I continue to see how obtuse the DNC base is.

The DNC supports a metric ton of shit that it never puts in writing.

You know how I know? Because I saw it for the last four years and during the two Obama terms firsthand.

When you watch the money flows, Silicon Valley social media companies actions, DNC front companies like MSNBC and Disney, and the Biden FBI paying tax payer dollars to companies to dunk and shadow ban inconvenient thoughts and posts, we know exactly what the DNC base and its "policies" are.

The only people I know who bring up this topic are female athletes and parents of daughters.

Republican men were bringing it up constantly and I would expect that to continue even after Trump bans trans girls in girl’s sports because Republicans would melt away if they didn’t have something to be angry about. People still talk about Lia Thomas and she hasn’t swam in 2.5 years. Republicans talk more about trans people than trans people do.

Then it's good that Democrats are finally talking about trans men. Trans men do not spark joy in the electorate despite Kamala's beliefs.

this is also false. the dems actually did not run on progressive identity issues at ALL. find me one democratic ad that did. go on, i'll wait.

Let's see:

You spent over a decade trying to remold society to impose transgenderism as a "human rights issue."

You bastardized everything from science to education to laws like Title IX in order to replace sex with gender identity.

You destroyed careers to punish dissent, stripped parents of custody, and passed forced speech "anti-misgendering" laws in places like Harris's home state of California.

You groomed children with patently false ideas like selecting their own gender and then infiltrated education and corrupt medical bodies so teachers and doctors would affirm the lies you told these children.

You promoted the misuse of powerful drugs to chemically castrate children into ghoulish facsimiles of the opposite sex so the adult transgender "women" who run your cult could say "see, it's natural! even children are trans!"

AND THEN, seeing a major backlash building, you decided you would try a trick. You decided not to admit or repudiate any of your misdeeds, but to instead keep quiet about them. You colluded with legacy media to try to shift the narrative and pretend those blowing the whistle on your insane deeds were the ones "obsessed." You thought you were so clever in pretending the 10-year timeline in which your cult tried to gaslight, intimidate, indoctrinate society into transgenderism never happened.

But oops, it didn't work. Voters' memories are longer than three seconds as it turns out.

Yet you're still out in force trying to lie that what you made sure was happening for 10 years never happened. Maybe if you keep going, people won't notice you have never abandoned your transgender agenda and still intend to impose it at the next opportunity. We'll see, I guess.

All of the aforementioned people belong in prison and while it's a shame we can't round up all of you, Trump will make sure your leaders end up in prison and jobless.

If adults want to be transgender, they can. What people don’t like is that children are being taught they can change genders by people who aren’t their parents. That’s unacceptable. Children are not supposed to be taught about gender and sexuality by their teachers, social media, or political operatives. Leave children completely alone.
