My neighbor came up to me once to tell me the roofers hanging gutters in my house had been smoking pot while working. I looked up at the gutters, said everything looked ok to me and moved on. As long as they are doing their job and doing it well I don’t care.

Clearly your neighbor's daughter still has some drug issues and is lying. That is pretty manipulative on her part. You should have never brought that up to the cleaners. It's unfortunate.

OP, I'm confused. You were in the house with the cleaners that day and didn't smell anything in your walls or anywhere right? And you said that is the only reason you would care if they smoked, right?

Because OP is looking for validation of her blaming "those people" and scaring them from working for her. She wants them to be guilty and to justify her bigotry. So she is looking for evidence that those people are the problem and not the druggie neighbor who relapsed, but doesn't want to admit that to her mother. So, a hard-working Mexican family is now down one paying client because of this white teen's lies.

I am on page 1. Believe me you would have smelled it even with all your allergies even if they were smoking with windows up in your garage. Maybe they were smoking on the driveway but I highly doubt it.
However its good they dont work for you anymore because daughter is stuck up (she is too good for this job in her opinion!) and because she is using fancy words like racial profiling. Maybe she gets another job in social justice or something

It’s not the druggie kid who brought this up, but her mother. Her mother who is an ordinary woman, who also works hard, is nice to everyone on the street and has never been known to create drama.

Nobody fired them. They lost a client because they’re afraid of cops which also raises questions. Nobody actually mentioned any cops or anything like that. They thought of it themselves.
