Really hope you aren’t getting high and driving. Not even going to address why any adult needs to get high before going to the gym or to a restaurant. |
OP here. I think you're all being racist by bringing race into this. If we were to flip it and the cleaners are now two white women, I would still question them, as well. I take race out of the equation here. I've seen white people do drugs, black families do drugs, latin families do drugs. Drugs don't see color. Nothing is off the table. So maybe, just maybe I'm not only one here who is not racist. |
What are you even talking about? I've never seen the neighbor on my property. Don't skip your meds, please. |
You are a liar to say that people replying are "bringing race into" the story. You described the cleaners as Mexican about five times, insinuated that they're illegal (and then defaulted to assuming they're illegal later in the thread), and immediately assumed the worst about them, while extending benefit of the doubt to a known drug user because she's white and middle class. You keep saying "nothing is off the table" to justify blaming the cleaners, but it's clear that the obvious truth is off the table by the fact that you rebut every single person pointing out that the teenaged neighbor is clearly lying. You're either a troll or a racist, classist liar, but of course if nothing is off the table you could be both. |
If you took race out of the equation, you wouldn't have mentioned the races in your OP. You also would have realized that the neighbor girl with a drug addiction history was much more likely to be the liar than the housekeepers, especially at 7:30 in the morning when they were going to work and your neighbor was just trying to hide from her mom. |

She brought "Mexican" into the question because she was accused of being racist....It's applicable!

Reading fail. Describing the housecleaners as Mexican was the 3rd word of the OP. She introduced it early to try and justify why she would overlook the obviously guilty, lying and drug relapsing white neighbor and blame the hardworking housecleaners who have been working for her for 5 years with no history of doing anything like what was insinuated by the neighbor. You have a known drug abuser who is only recently out of rehab vs some hardworking blue collar workers who have no history of drug use. But, of course, the assumed illegal aliens were the ones who were going completely against type not the white neighbor who was going completely true to type. |
| I can't figure out why this is even an issue. I could care less if my cleaners show up stoned before cleaning my house. It is not a fun job and being high will at least make the job more bearable. It's not like they're performing surgery or flying a plane. By the time they're done cleaning, the high will have worn off most likely so you don't need to worry about their driving. It was most likely the neighbor trying to deflect blame. Shame your cleaners were even brought into it. I would've kept my mouth shut. |
| Of course the cleaners are lying. Who do you think benefits from lying- do you think the neighbors randomly decided to make up a story about your cleaner smoking weed for fun? Or do you think the most likely scenario is a cleaner (who you already admitted is lazy) was caught doing something she shouldnt and is covering for herself? Again- who benefits from lying? Honestly this should be obvious OP, you should even need to have it explained. |
How dumb are you? No one (who's intelligent) wants to pay someone to do a job while drunk/high, out of it, unable to perform at their best. You sound very naive and stupid. |
| Maybe the cleaner girl is in it with the neighbors and they concocted a story so that then she would be able to accuse you of racial profiling (I am impressed by cleaners using big words btw) and sue you?! |
Duh. This is the context to the only explanation I have to why they would be afraid someone called cops on them out of the blue. |
She did actually use these exact words - "racial profiling". This was not a response I was expecting. - Did you smoke pot in my house? - You neighbors engaged in racial profiling and we were singled out and accused because we are brown. |
According to DCUM yes, the neighbors randomly decided to make up a story about my cleaners smoking weed. |
