Say what?

Is the St. John's HC really coaching with a baby strapped to her chest? Is she a single mom?

Imagine the mentality of observing a mother who is clearly committed to both her child and dozens of young women, having a negative reaction, and then degrading her on an anonomous lacrosse forum.

I legitimately feel bad for this person. They must be incredibly unhappy and empty inside. Hopefully it doesn't affect their spouse and children too much.
The liability if that newborn got hit in the head with a ball or player accidentally tripped and fell on them? Seems dangerous and not wise to strap baby to your chest to coach and do your job. No place for a baby on the sidelines of any lacrosse game.

So are you going to say this about parents that bring younger siblings, including babies, to watch games? These people are on the sidelines too and similar things can happen. We all take risks by stepping outside every day. Just because you wouldn’t make this choice doesn’t mean someone else can’t. Stop judging women and being misogynistic.
we’re not talking about people in the stands and families coming to watch the game we’re talking about a coach on the turf where the players stand on the bench side right on the field! That it’s not a safe spot for a newborn baby to be hanging out on the turf with the team while a game is being played..

This is just a ridiculous line of argument. Clearly none of you were there or just a GC parent or two trolling (you won, it's all good). Better to have the coach miss a game? SJC sidelines at home are deep. At no time was a child endangered you clowns. I also trust the reflexes of an all time draw control leader who played at the highest level. Let's get a grip and move on. Coaches are human beings, and parents, and sometimes they need to balance the responsibilities. Ours does it incredibly well. I can promise you that SJC families are much more worried that we will lose our coach to her broader family responsibilities, than worried about how our coach balances them. Enough.

There's a picture on St. Johns IG for everyone to see.

Did she make a difference? Probably could have missed the game. .

She'd be a better fit at The Pines of Mar Gable

You mean the goalie who got beat out by the freaking NCS goalie for American Select? You mean the goalie who didn’t make All-American? You mean the goalie that you guys needed to make a fake origin story to take her seriously? This chat needs to figure out what they’re talking about.

This is amazing. Now we have NCS goalie dad entering picture who is equally as nuts. I’m getting my popcorn as these two dads duke it out

Legitimately heard people have avoided that school because of the dad

If people are avoiding a school because of someone else attending, they have a major issue within.

Not sure why you assume it's a GC parent other than being bitter. GC is known for having younger players on the sideline as ball girls, including his own kid. Highly doubt it

That was the game the baby was there for. That's all. GC parents were good fans and welcome guests.

Agreed. Don’t think HC is that bad and don’t Visi is that good.

Visi is vulnerable. Strength is the defense. No real offensive threats except for the 2 senior commits. However, HC has struggled on draw so that could be the difference. HC will beat Vis next year.

The big question is who will have more obnoxious parents/ fans for this game.

Parents chirping at players on the other team. Players mouthing off at the refs. Fans heckling.Who will win that battle today?

I'm going to defend HC here (admittedly an HC fan) - I've never experienced anyone associated with HC chirping at a player on the other team during a game nor HC players mouthing off at refs (and by defending HC I'm not suggesting by default that Visi parents or players do any of this stuff - I can't speak with any authority on that).

I don't think I've ever watched a boys or girls HC varsity game where parents from both teams haven't had something to say about refs calls (unless Pam's reffing in which all calls are spotless), that's an unfortunate reality in HS sports but I haven't seen anything above and beyond obnoxious from HC parents - wondering where this viewpoint is coming from or if it's just typical DCUM rage bait which apparently I've taken.

Rage bait. HC and Visi parents were fine tonight.

He’s too bald for my liking, I’m afraid it’s going to blind my children along with myself.
