You know they will. Would hate to be a freshman or sophomore next year. They will all be on JV and not have any chance to improve their skills during the high school season. Someone told me even juniors will be on JV also. |
SR will be looking for ISL title number 4 with more younger players being developed and coming up through the ranks! |
Pretty sad if true. The younger players bring energy and show the most improvement during the high school season. They are hurting their program if they are doing this. |
Potomac was better at every position today - draw, midfield, attack, defense and goalie. Saints coaches were at a loss and didn't have any answers. Congrats Potomac. Good luck next round. |
Potomac has younger players and so does Visi. SSSAS putting all their money in the 26 class. They will be a perennial 4th place team for next few years for sure. |
Visi does not. |
I think one SSSAS starter is a senior. That’s awful for those children who will wait yet another year before getting high school playing time. |
+1 The Potomac students are a tight group, and I think the fans were genuinely happy/proud after the close and frustrating loss last week. As a parent of one of those kids, I really don't think they meant to be disrespectful at all - they knew how much those players wanted it and were thrilled for them! It's always a little awkward to win or celebrate when you're the away team, but I truly think they were all just caught up in the moment and had been anticipating a very close game. |
What is awful is that SSSAS athletics office and coaching staff will continue to schedule mediocre teams before conference play so they and their blow hard know it all dads can post and brag that they are "nationally ranked". Those rankings don't mean a whole lot now and won't next year when they will falter in post season again because of it. |
The 26 class at SSSAS is a disappointment and it will cost them in recruiting the 29 class girls and making their 27 and 28 girls better. |
True- which tells you on any given day any of these teams can beat each other! |
Not quite sure the “fluffy” regular season schedule is what caused their poor performance in the playoffs. These girls are exhausted. The season is very long and when you combine that with preseason, it is a super long season of lacrosse. It is both a mental and physical challenge. After a rough loss against SR in the championship I have no doubt the Saints girls were not just mentally out of it. Don’t really know who else you want them to play as they are required to play everyone in the ISL AA division and most VISSA opponents. I would love to see all you parents that are judging and criticizing their season, go out there and play for 6 months straight. |
Don’t see this when 27s and 28s have been shoved down to JV and playing against subpar talent. The 28 class was KJs weakest class ever. 27s a little better. SSSAS is in big trouble |
It has already cost them. Three years in a row of ISL titles to SR!! And next year will be the same. Adding one or two new recruits isn’t going to transform a team. |
SRs girls were just as exhausted and managed to win when it mattered. That’s all anyone is saying. All these girls have put in great effort and deserve applause. But SR won the ISL and has done it three years in a row. They peak when it matters. |
