DCE charged $95 for a tryout which was also a joke. Rosters were predetermined and there was no instruction - just games.
The Megills are nice guy but they are charging for a fortune for a club that waa a joke before they hooked up with Express, which is dying related to Team 91. The 2021 team is excellent but the others teams have little success because it's a mixture of MD public kids and private kids who can't make other clubs. Unless your son is a 2021, stay away. |
| Are DCE club fees $4200? |
| They also charged $225 for a pre-tryout camp. My son skipped the tryout camp and only went to the tryouts but still made the 2021 team. It's a big revenue generator and boys probably think they need to do the camp in order to make the club. |
VLC is half that. Love those guys. Last chance to try out is tomorrow. The more defections there are from the greedy SOBs clubs, the better for lax in the DMV. |
Congrats. Did your son play for another club last year? |
| No. He played for 2021 last year. |

DCE is affiliated with Bullis and Churchill.
They know they can charge $4,200 a year for club dues |
That sound you heard was that asshat club owner across the river crapping in his pants. What goes around comes around... |
Good for your son. For us outsiders looking in, however, that pre-tryout camp felt pretty obligatory. |
| I haven't seen any rosters for the big VA clubs, only heard through the grapevine and there were no surprises among the people I know. |
so after spending the money did your son make the team? |
| Where do most of the SJC laxers play club ball? Do any still play for BW? |
BW and different clubs here and there. Will be interesting to see where some land who were formerly attracted to the BW and/or the school because of the BW owner. Very few Madlax kids these days from St. John's. |
| Just saw on twitter Bullis brought in a senior transfer from league rival Saint Stephens, interesting move to say the least. |
