Literally, no f***** sh*t. What did you expect?

Boys are taught by all females pretty much from K through 8th grade. Female teachers overwhelmingly will choose lessons geared for girls, especially when it comes to things like book assignments. You have generations and generations and generations of boys who are drugged up and pumped full of pharmaceuticals to control their 'adhd' and 'hyperactivity' when they are just boys who are not meant to sit there for hours on end in a stupid classroom. Not to mention, many female teachers are completely biased against males and boys in the classroom.

And why would men even want to go to college these days? It's just a 'safe space' for far left indoctrination. Universities are now institutions of higher hatred.. Campuses teach about 'toxic' masculinity and have tons of bra burning feminazi faculty that are free to spew whatever gender hate speech they want. And it is also triply worse if you happen to be a straight white male....because not only do have toxic masculinity, you are also THE prime oppressor these days who has pretty much reached cartoonish levels of a bad guy stereotype.

Everything in education over the last 30-40 years has been biased in favor of learning for girls. It was always 'bring your daughter to work day', then there are endless hoards of programs to get girls into STEM, so many special gender specific scholarships for girls in STEM, and so many initiatives at the grade school level all the way to high school to promote learning for girls only.

Good job at creating a bunch of boys and young men who have stunted levels of education and who are pumped full of meds for years to treat their ADHD... errr I mean masculinity.

Sure— kids who are FARMs, 1st Gen, products of broken homes, growing up in single parent families, etc need special supports. But, I highly doubt that applies to anyone on this thread. Those who will be poor in the future will be the idiots taking out 5 and 6 figure debt loads for a worthless peice of toilet paper to work a job that gets automated away. The winners will be the ones who learn trades to know how to repair drones, automated equipment for manufacturing and farming, and know trades to setup and service server farms. I'll laugh my ass at all of the worthless degrees in the future. But hey, maybe they will find solace in the fact that they're supposedly 'educated'.

NP here (and I clipped off the study which was long and poorly formatted).

The bolded has been true for decades (as you even point out). Kids were on ritalin when I was in elementary in the 80s, and K-5 was almost entirely taught by women. Yet, men were still going to college, and I was constantly sent the message that it was really weird that I was a girl who was good at math and science. What's changed since then? Primarily, the change has been that white men/boys are no longer over-represented, because attitudes have shifted away from giving them a pass and away from centering their approach to learning and communicating. Now instead of schools expecting girls to just accommodate the boys who hit them or try to kiss them on the playground as I was expected to do (because "boys will be boys"), those boys are disciplined. Maybe things have swung away from the best environment for boys to learn, but please at least recognize that the alternative wasn't the best environment for girls to learn...yet they did, in droves.

I don't know what the solution is, and I am biased toward thinking that at least some of this is boys getting "discouraged" because they actually have to compete on equal terms, but we need to at least be honest that the old system had issues as well.

The education system has been encouraging more girls to get into STEM fields because those are the high paying jobs, and there aren't many girls in those fields.

But, in general, I am not seeing the system discouraging boys from getting college degrees.

The whole argument about how boys are expected to sit down in class and pay attention is a strawman argument. 50 years ago, schools were even more disciplined about sitting quietly and behaving in class. Regardless, though, we are talking about HS boys, not 7 yr olds.

Not that long ago, there were more men than women in college. Were HS boys more disciplined back then? Or did college admissions just get a lot more challenging because so many girls now apply?

Absolutely..

And it ain't just surgeons..

Input a bunch of symptoms and images and AI will make far better and more accurate diagnoses than most general practitioners and radiologists. Machines to do surgery are way further along to do surgery than replace piping in a house. AI will exceed a human physician because it'll be able to learn from basically all literature they has ever been published and will be published. Most doctors can't even keep up with modern literature and new therapies. AI will not only make better diagnoses, it'll make better suggestions for treatments because it will know all human scientific knowledge from every journal article ever published.


Also, unlike plumbing jobs that are almost always site and building specific, human anatomy doesn't really change. You can bring humans to a machine for surgery, but it is much harder to bring an automated industrial machine that could replace someone's piping in their house.
