Sure— kids who are FARMs, 1st Gen, products of broken homes, growing up in single parent families, etc need special supports.  But, I highly doubt that applies to anyone on this thread. If your kid has more parental support and financial advantage than 95% of Hs kids, as most kids whose parents are on DCUM do, then the boys/ POC argument is a straw man. Your white UMC DMV kid doesn’t face the same headwinds as a Black boy being raised below the poverty line by a single mom because dad is in jail. And trying to place your pampered little loser on equal footing with a poor Black kid being raosed without a dad in the projects  is gross. [/quote]
