What if the citizens in MC asking either MCPS or MC to limit any student who are 19 or older from attending a regular public school? I will contact my school board member and other elected officer. Will you do it too?

FYI: there are students with disabilities (including intellectual disability, developmental disability, and autism) enrolled in MCPS public schools through age 21.

How? I would pull my daughter out and place her in private. I will publicize the ridiculousness of the situation. During that time, my daughter was in private b/c we lived in the area.

We've since moved, and she's in public. so far so good - But once the schools can no longer handle a growing population of challenging kids b/c the state prevents us from disciplining kids, both of my kids will go to private.

I will teach in the roughest schools, but i will not use my kids as guinea pigs to prove any point.

Not the PP you responded to, but I will say that I specifically care about this case because it was a 14 year old girl and because my kids are zoned for HS. That's a pretty normal reaction.

That said, let's see how this case plays out. One possibility is this was consensual and the girl made up the story after regretting it later. Notice how the suspects did not flee the school after, but were arrested at school.

I hope this case gets more publicity and makes the national news cycle.

MCPS is a huge school district. This deserves more attention since that will be the only thing that leads to change.
